I have been pregnant once, with a singleton, now a healthy toddler, and have one embryo on ice. I was never willing to put more than 2 back, so there were two FETs in there and in one, Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4372617656796373653.post-4595432564385428512008-07-09T15:55:00.000-04:002008-07-09T15:55:00.000-04:00For Library Lady - We did 2 IVF cycles where we li...For Library Lady - We did 2 IVF cycles where we limited the number of eggs fertilized to 4 in order to avoid excess embryos. That resulted in 2 embryos to transfer our first cycle, and 1 blastocyst to transfer our second cycle. Neither was a success, but I do have lots of information if you want to email me (see my blog for my email address). If we end up doing IVF again, we will probably andrea_jenninehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11450998281852176512noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4372617656796373653.post-24061978677833427232008-07-09T15:33:00.000-04:002008-07-09T15:33:00.000-04:00LL, if you are concerned about creating embryos th...LL, if you are concerned about creating embryos that will not be used, I would consider "natural ivf." Some clinics do this, it is ivf basically without the stimming process; they harvest the one egg you produce and do the fertilizing, transferring, etc. with just that one. I haven't used this method myself, but I am friends with someone who has, I could ask her to email you if you want.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4372617656796373653.post-26309008605002399872008-07-09T14:46:00.000-04:002008-07-09T14:46:00.000-04:00While I understand your reasons for not wanting to...While I understand your reasons for not wanting to create extra embryos, I think you should take into consideration that (in most cases) many of the eggs fertilized do not become viable embryos. Take my case (healthy 31yr old). I had 17 eggs, 12 mature, 10 fertilized, and by day 5 we only had ONE blast. Now you may be one of the lucky ones and end up with 10 embryos out of 10 eggs, but you Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09730246545838102556noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4372617656796373653.post-3418089979263049012008-07-09T14:30:00.000-04:002008-07-09T14:30:00.000-04:00Library Lady, I'm also interested in the scenario ...Library Lady, I'm also interested in the scenario you've suggested, as I'm gathering my thoughts about IVF and freezing..
