Friday's Connections Abound

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). New
  • Sorry about the lack of LFCA yesterday. Dental appointment. All is well in mouthland.
  • Nominations: Glow in the Woods is asking for nominations for the Glow in the Woods Award. Nominations must be in by the 14th.
  • Question: Busted is asking for advice from parents who have lost a child, for what they did in regards to burial, cremation, etc. As an update, the Doodles have been found. Please go over if you can answer.
  • Question: Kate got a call from her NICU asking what the NICU could do better for bereaved parents. Go give her your thoughts.
  • Questions: Infertility on the Brain would like to know: Do you ever have little organizational issues or mix ups with your center? How do you deal with it? If you've done the Microdose Lupron Flare Protocol, let her know your thoughts.
  • Off-topic Question: Here We Go Again has questions about pay-as-you-go cell phones and dog training. Go see if you can answer them.

  • Sign-up opened for the next book club selection: Eat, Pray, Love. Everyone is welcome to join. This book rocks and will give you a lot to think about (and I can say that because I'm halfway through it right now).
  • IComLeavWe kicked off last week. Come on...a measly week is much more do-able than a full month, nu?
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!

  • (Un)complicate Me is celebrating her birthday this upcoming Saturday. Go sing her happy birthday a bit early.
  • Sara at Gas Passer is celebrating her birthday this Sunday - go have some ice cream with her.
  • I Think I Hear Your Mother Calling is also celebrating her birthday this Sunday. Go sing her a little song.
  • One year ago yesterday, Shelby had her transfer which resulted in her son. It's a happy anniversary.
LOSS REMEMBRANCES (send in the dates of loss anniversaries and I will post them on the correct day)
  • This week was the one year anniversary of the day Kristen learned that she had lost Snowflake. Give her your love and support.
LOSS ANNOUNCEMENTS
MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • Not Like I Thought it Would Be matched with a set of expectant parents. Go over and give her support and good wishes.
  • Snakes alive! It's transfer time for Creating Motherhood. Go wish her good luck for Monday! (doesn't "snakes alive" sound like something a grandmum would say?)
  • Barren Albion hit 300 posts this week.
  • Trish's dog at Fertile Hope has two masses in his cheeks the vet thinks either infection or cancer. Surgery has been scheduled for 7/22. In better news, she met with the neurologist who pronounced her brain as perfect! She could use a little hug and a cheer right now.
  • Leslie at What You're Not Expecting When You are Trying to Expect got a BFN after IUI yesterday. She could use some encouraging words.
  • Life in a Holding Pattern was diagnosed with a bicornuate uterus this week. Go give her support.
  • Amber is back after a long blogging absence and could use some support.
  • Natalie mother-in-law has been diagnosed with cancer. She is having a terrible time right now. Please go give her support.
  • Dreams and False Alarms could use some extra support right now.
BEDREST BABES: on bedrest following infertility or loss and needing support. Drop in on them and keep them company.
  • BabyQuest is in the hospital on bedrest (more likely until she delivers Bub).
  • Schatzi is down for the count and will be horizontal the rest of the pregnancy. Her doctor is worried about preeclampsia.
  • When All Else Fails... is on bedrest due to a shortened cervix.
  • Geohde is on increased rest too as she keeps in the twins to 32 weeks.
  • Crowded Uterus Syndrome is on bedrest.
  • Milenka is on bedrest due to low fluid.
  • It Will Happen is on bedrest for a shortened cervix.
  • Gas Passer is on bedrest for the rest of her pregnancy.
  • JJ is on bed rest until further notice.
PREGNANCY ANNOUNCEMENTS AND NEWS
  • Destination Baby had a great 12w ultrasound this week.
  • Just Off Magazine has a great ultrasound on her birthday. Baby has a heartbeat! A small cervical polyp caused all the bleeding and it will need to be removed in a month. She's on limited activity, so she could use some continued positive thoughts.
  • Maria's NT scan is today. Send good thoughts her way!
  • Sara at Gas Passer found out that they'll be having a girl!
  • Begging for a Baby had a good appointment after her fall (she had bleeding this week and the baby wasn't moving). All is okay.
