Monday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The Face-to-Face Lost and Found page is permanently located beneath this current post. Old Connections Abound can be accessed via the date or subject archives listed on the sidebar. Check the submissions page, FAQ, and ways to get involved for additional information. Email me at thetowncriers@gmail.com with any questions/concerns.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

Connections Abound

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • Bridges continues to post daily. Click over to read a post about adoption from Lori of Weebles Wobblog.
  • Mary Update: "We saw one happy healthy beating heart today. Amazing! Everything was measuring exactly where it should be. I go back in another week to make sure things continue to progress well, but I am starting to dare to hope that this might be the one. After 9 long years you think it might be time?"
  • Question: Cutest Little Babymakers in Town has a question about milk banks. Head over if you can answer.
Old
  • The IComLeavWe list for August is up. Join in the conversation--it's a week of increased comments and commenting (and hopefully picking up a few new permanent readers along the way). If you still have up the old icon for July, please take it down (the red one).
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!
NEW BLOGS (started in July or August 2008)
  • None Today.
BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES (celebrate your birthday or blogoversary with the community. Send me date at any point and I'll post them on the correct day)
  • Lost and Found moved into its current space (this url) on Wednesday the 13th. That's when the LFCA began looking as it does now. Travel back through time with this first post from the current site.
  • Mommy Needs Therapy just had her third blogoversary. Go over and wish her congratulations.
LOSS REMEMBRANCES (send in the dates of loss anniversaries and I will post them on the correct day)
  • None Today.
LOSS ANNOUNCEMENTS
MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • Just a Mere IVF will have her retrieval most likely on Wednesady for IVF#2.
  • Brenda has another update on Baby Quest. She is still in the hospital and woke up last night in pain and losing lots of fluid. Her scan showed some pockets of fluid, but not much.
  • Z’s mother in law has confirmed stage 3 ovarian cancer. Please go give her support.
  • Lemmondrops gets the results of her CT today and will find out if chemo has affected her tumors. Please go wish her good luck.
  • Helping Make Sense has begun estrogen patches for IVF #6, and has some fears. Go over to give support.
  • Happy Not-S0-Newlywed has been accepted into the graduate program.
  • Going For it At Last had her transfer today.
  • Dreams and False Alarms is ready for IVF following her hysteroscopy.
  • A Mending Heart had an abnormal pap that resulted in cervical dysplasia and a lot of precancerous cells. She now has to have a colposcopy to check for cancerous cells. Please go give her support.
  • The Baby Chase is having her retrieval today.
  • Busted's FET cycle had to be postponed because of poor lining. She had an appointment with the RE yesterday and hopefully will be rescheduled for the next couple of days.
  • I'm Not Ashamed of Infertility, Just Pissed had a terrible time during her retrieval. She had 11 eggs retrieved and fertilized but has been told that all of her eggs are dying off. They transferred four to try and give them a chance but they are not holding out hope that the embies will survive. Please go give her love.
  • Lacking Expectations is having a rough time getting any kind of support from any of her (fertile) family members. She is looking for answers to whether she should say anything or not.
  • Pamplemouse’s mum has breast cancer. Please go over and give her support.
  • Mrs. X had her FET and is now in her 2ww.
  • Gretchen at Your Average Infertility Blog is in the middle of IVF #2 and is spotting at 3dp5dt. She's a chronic spotter, LPD girl and has had repeat chemical pregnancies, so she is most definitely not looking at this as implantation bleeding. She's scared and sad and could use the good thoughts.
  • Pam transferred three embryos this weekend. Go keep her company during the wait.
  • Darby the dog passed this weekend. Emily and Steve could use a flood of love and hugs as they cope.
  • Courtney is having lap and hysteroscopy today.
BEDREST BABES: on bedrest following infertility or loss and needing support. Drop in on them and keep them company.
PREGNANCY ANNOUNCEMENTS AND NEWS
  • A blessing and a loss rolled into one: The Spirit of Magnolia is unexpectedly pregnant. This impacts her adoption proceedings in Columbia and they needed to end that journey. In the end, it is both a loss and a gain--please comfort and congratulate simultaneously.
  • Sara at Gas Passer was admitted to the hospital over the weekend due to contractions and is now home again. Keep her and little girl Spot in your thoughts.
  • Alicia is pregnant!
  • Life After D&C had excellent betas over the weekend.
  • Maria had some spotting at 17 weeks yesterday. She is obviously worried and could us some support.
  • Great betas for M at The Maybe Baby!
  • Begging for a Baby was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Please go over and give advice/support.
  • Two lines for Bleu at Soulbliss!
  • Drew's Diary is pregnant.
BIRTH AND ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • Celeste from 1+2=Love had her boys, Shoghi and Maxwell, on Friday. Go over and wish her congratulations.
