Thursday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point to Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • Harriet the Spy is the current book club selection and everyone is invited to join along.
  • Question and Password Protection: Rachel writes: "I found out last Thursday that I am pregnant for the first time. My first beta was on Monday and it was 2236. I'm so new to this side of TTC that I don't know if that's good or bad, so I'm still nervous. I just got back from my second beta and should have results tomorrow. I am also going to be password-protecting pregnancy-related blog entries until we tell our family. Anyone who is interested or who can give me advice about my beta numbers can e-mail me at rachel.burks@gmail.com."
  • Question: Deb writes: "I have had blood pressure problems when taking BCP in the past. Now, the GYN wants me to start taking Provera for a few months. Has anyone with a history of blood pressure problems had issues on Provera?" Head over to her blog if you can answer this question.
Old
  • U.T.E.R.U.S. Update: We are so damn close! We currently have raised $2833.04. We have under $200 left to raise. New eBay auctions are always going up and the etsy store can use your help. Any money we make over the total will be held for the next U.T.E.R.U.S. fundraiser to give us a head-start.
  • IComLeavWe is over for October. If you made Iron Commenter status, let me know so I can add you to the Wall of Honour. The list for November goes up this Thursday evening.
  • Password Protected: Journey to Junior has decided to go password-protected starting Friday. If you would like to continue to follow her journey, please leave your email address in the comments section of her blog or email it to shastalove17@yahoo.com.
  • Bridges continues to post daily. And it continues to be an amazing resource for insight into a multitude of worlds. And I'm not just saying that because I work on it.
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!
