381st Issue of the LFCA

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point to Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the
infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • Kirtsy'd Pick O' the Day: Please vote for this one from Oh, the Possibilities!. A gorgeous post commemorating a loss with a stunning photograph that will move you to tears. An entirely new way of viewing the saying, "say it with flowers." How do you vote? Simply by clicking on the words "this one" above and then clicking on the post's title. Why the Kirtsy'd Pick O' the Day? Click on that link in the header navigation bar above for the story. And send me stuff!
  • New Blogroll Category: I started a new category on the blogroll called Infertility and Marriage. If you wish to be moved there, let me know. It is for people who are blogging about how infertility has affected their marriage, infertility and divorce, etc.
  • Resolve Support Group: If you're living in the central Georgia area, Resolve is starting a new peer-led support group. Click here to read more about it.
  • Password Protected: Jen at Awaiting Our First... is making her blog private to invited readers only. If you'd like to be added to the reader list, please email her at awaitingourfirst@hotmail.com. You're all welcome!
  • Project: The Miscarriage Diaries writes: "I'm starting my photo project, the Miscarriage Diaries, and am looking for people who might be interested in being photographed for the project. Thank you!"
  • Announcement: Kathy formerly Angrycanrn writes: "Please inform your readers that as much as I would love to fund their fertility treatment, at this time I am unable to do so. Please forward your requests and stories to the UTERUS fundraising drive of which I am not a part. All of your stories were riveting and deserving of assistance. I'm sure UTERUS will be able to give you the assistance you require. As of now, Angrycanrn@gmail.com will not be monitored. Due to the incredible volume of hate mail Angrycanrn@gmail.com will no longer be an active email address. If you need to contact Angry I would suggest consulting a psychic. I would have suggested that you could leave a comment at one of my friend's blogs but it seems their blogs may end up as mine did. ISO the Golden Egg and The Unwanted Path are under siege secondary to the controversy last week (of which they were NO part). Please go on over and support them as they are both considering taking a break from blogging or stopping altogether. Please help prevent more casualties from being added to the list! Best wishes on each of your paths to parenthood."
  • Research: Wishing and Hoping for Baby is doing a research study for school regarding infertility. If anyone is interested in helping a graduate student out, please visit her blog and let her know!
Old
  • Forums: If you are not a member of the forums, you will not have access to the LFCA on days when we are utilizing an open thread in the forums instead of posting on this site. Any blog reader or writer can become a member of the forums by clicking here and registering. On days when we don't have the LFCA, it also follows that I'll be slow on approving new members (that whole lack of Internet access thing) so please be patient.

  • After an incredible high on Thursday for Eva at Egg Drop Post about what looked like a successful IVF #2 with EPP and ICSI (18 eggs retrieved) there was a horrible crash Friday. Out of 18 eggs, 8 were mature and were fertilized with ICSI. NO embryos made. Hoping that the other 10 eggs mature enough to try fertilizing them. Please go over and give support.
  • Two blasts were transferred into ART of Being Infertile's surrogate this week and four frozen embryos remain on ice. Go give her good wishes.
