456th Issue of the LFCA

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point to Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the
infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • Kirtsy'd Pick O' the Day: Please vote for this one from Drama 2B Mama. A post capturing the anguish after a failed IVF cycle, when the author knew there were other possible paths, but didn't know how to find the energy to get on them. How do you vote? Simply by clicking on the words "this one" above and then clicking on the post's title. Why the Kirtsy'd Pick O' the Day? Click on that link in the header navigation bar above for the story. And send me stuff!
  • Password Protected Blog?: Pam wrote: "Has This is NOT What I Ordered? gone password protected? She's been on my reader forever and now I can't get in. Anyone know how to contact her?"
Old
  • Fundraiser: April from CD1 Again... is doing the Light the Night walk for Leukemia and Lymphoma. Please donate if you would like to support her.
  • Forums: If you are not a member of the forums, you will not have access to the LFCA on days when we are utilizing an open thread in the forums instead of posting on this site. Any blog reader or writer can become a member of the forums by clicking here and registering. On days when we don't have the LFCA, it also follows that I'll be slow on approving new members (that whole lack of Internet access thing) so please be patient.

MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • Maybe it's just me... has been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and could use some support and meal/snack ideas.
  • Please wish NoodleGirl at Peanut noodle good luck on her follow-up appointment after her second loss in a year. She's hoping to hear some hopeful things from the OBGYN, please send her good thoughts.
  • Bagmomma just started a new FET cycle. Please go over and give her good thoughts.
  • Cindy just got a devastating BFN after a donor egg cycle. It has been long and difficult journey so far for Cindy and her partner J. She is not sure where to go from here. She is a wonderful cheerleader to all her fellow bloggers and right now she needs love and support in dealing with this horrible news and in thinking about what the future may hold.
  • KK's cycle has been cancelled due to a cyst. She could use some company.
  • Emily's retrieval yielded 34 eggs! Sit with her while she waits for the fertilization report.

  • Jamie was recently released off hospital bedrest but is now on modified bedrest at home.
  • Baby Smiling In Back Seat is still in the hospital at 30 weeks, staying put for at least a couple more weeks to keep holding off preterm labor. The twins continue to look fantastic.
  • After a scary hospital visit at 24 weeks, Chelle is on modified bed rest. Her restrictions will increase as time goes on to try to avoid preeclampsia and keep her twin girls growing inside her as long as possible. The girls are doing great.
  • AndreaJennine is on bedrest; she started bleeding at 5w6d and had a scan showing a subchorionic hematoma.
  • For The Flavor has been put on hospital bedrest due to low fluid and IUGR. An induction can be in the plans at any time, if the baby shows more distress . She could use some company while she waits and watches.
  • Debbie's water has broken, and she will be in the hospital until she delivers the twins, hopefully up to 6 weeks.
PREGNANCY ANNOUNCEMENTS AND NEWS
  • Shannon's beta is on Friday. She has positive peesticks, but she's anxious to hear the actual numbers and see if they double. Go give her good thoughts.
  • C by the Sea's first ultrasound showed that her uterus is empty, and she is crushed. On Friday she will learn if it is ectopic or possibly if it was just too early to see the embryos.

I cannot imagine how you found my blog but I cannot say "thank you" deeply enough. The support of people dropping by today has brought me to tears, in the good way. I just found this forum and it is such a wonderful means to reach out a hand. *blush*

Hee. I was surprised you got this close. My b-day is actually the 24th. I'm actually really flattered you remembered it was this time of year as I haven't been going on about it all that much.
