501st Issue of the LFCA

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point of Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the
infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • Kirtsy'd Pick O' the Day: Please vote for this one from We Got Hitched.... A gorgeous post explaining infertility and treatments with the analogy of an onion. How do you vote? Simply by clicking on the words "this one" above and then clicking on the post's title. Why the Kirtsy'd Pick O' the Day? Click on that link in the header navigation bar above for the story. And send me stuff!
  • Ooooh...here it goes again--kicking off the next 500 LFCA posts.
  • Kirtsy-able Posts: I need stuff to Kirtsy again for next week. Please send in posts (your own or someone else's) from bloggers who have not been Kirtsy'd before or in a very long time.
  • Project: Not that you don’t have plenty of time to get on the Creme de la Creme list (after all, it doesn’t truly close for good until March 1, 2010), but if you want to be guaranteed that you’ll be on the list when it goes up January 1st, you need to have submitted your choice by December 15th. Which is tomorrow. If you fill out the form after December 15th, you will go up as I keep adding to the list, but you probably won’t be up there when the first wave of people start reading on January 1st. So if you’ve been dragging your heels on picking a post, I’d get on it tonight.
  • Project: Open Adoption Examiner is running a book tour on the controversial book, The Primal Wound. Adoptees, firstparents, adoptive and pre-adoptive parents share their views on the concepts presented over 3 days. The author will answer questions later in the week. Come read along for some great insights into the experience of adoption -- even if you've not read the book.
  • Project: Still Life with Circles is starting a new art and poetry blog in January 2010. She is looking for submissions from babylost parents. You can find out more information there.
  • Face-to-Face Group: If you don't know about it yet, there is a new support group up in the Boston/New England area called RubyFeather. Click over if you're in the area and want to learn more.
  • Question: Dee's RE now thinks that her issue is a sperm issue (even after she has done two donor egg cycles and is currently in the 2WW of the second). She is looking for anyone with experience or knowledge about the Sperm_Chromatin_Structure_Assay test (SCSA).
  • Question: Megan got some news regarding test results for her RPL work up at her new RE. She is excited to have some answers, and some hope for cycles to come. Any advice or stories of support would be much appreciated!
  • Daily Update: There are currently 174 participants on the Creme de la Creme 2009 list.
