Monday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The Lost and Found page is permanently located beneath this current post. Old Connections Abound can be accessed via the date or subject archives listed on the sidebar. Check the submissions page, FAQ, and ways to get involved for additional information. Email me at thetowncriers@gmail.com with any questions/concerns.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New

  • 75 in the Creme de la Creme--keep sending your link. And go hound your favourite bloggers to submit something.
  • A sensitive request: a blogger is specifically seeking blogs that speak about medical termination after a Downs Syndrome diagnosis to pass along to a friend who is feeling particularly alone. She writes: "she is looking for someone who has been through the same thing...she thinks that she will be judged, and thus she is feeling very alone." If you would be willing to connect with this blogger and her friend, please send me your blog url at thetowncriers@gmail.com and I will pass it along to this blogger.
  • Don't know if people are interested, but I sometimes see postings for studies. If no one is bothered by it, I'll pass them along here in case they can help someone. These two come from an Integramed email: Midwest Fertility Specialists is pleased to announce its participation in a clinical research study involving in vitro fertilization. This study involves the use of marketed infertility medications routinely used in IVF. Study related medications and procedures will be provided at no cost. If you are considering in vitro fertilization and are 18 to 39 years old, you may qualify. For additional information, please call 317-571-1637. Midwest Fertility Specialists, 12188A N. Meridian St. Suite 250, Carmel, Indiana 46032. Clinical Investigator: Bradford Bopp, MD AND RSC Bay Area Research into the techniques of oocyte cryopreservation, or egg freezing, are starting to reveal answers for women who wish to delay conception for any reason. Reproductive Science Center of the Bay Area is conducting one such study. Couples with male factor infertility are being sought for a study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational product for use in egg freezing. Female participants must be healthy and between 21 and 35 years old. RSC's IVF and Medical Director, Dr. Louis Weckstein, is the principal clinical investigator. For more information, visit the RSC Bay Area website or call 925-973-5012.

  • What? You need a gift for the holidays? Why not support your fellow stirrup queens and buy from Shop Mom or Pop? Shop thoughtfully this season and send on the link to anyone who wants to support the community by making their holiday shopping also make treatments or adoption possible.
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!

They got resubmitted quickly but that means at least 8 more weeks - if they don't get kicked out again. She could use some support.
