Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.
New
- You've probably noticed that the Creme de la Creme is up...Adding many more to it daily therefore, I set up a box in the top left corner and when I add things to the post, I change the time and date.
- Hyperfertile Infertile recently went password-protected and a reader is looking to get in contact with her so she can receive an invite. If you are the author or you're in contact with her, could you let her know people are looking for her and would like to keep reading. Leave a comment or email me if you have contact information.
- PPD Connect is a new blog that was started last month to provide information on postpartum depression. Wanted to put this website out there because they have a lot of support resources and interesting blog posts.
- Looking for an excellent distraction? MLO is going to be celebrating her first blogiversary on January 8th and will run a contest through February 8 - with prizes! Details will go up on January 8th on MLO Knitting.
- Just because the holidays are over doesn't mean that shopping is over for the year. People still need gifts in life. Why not support your fellow stirrup queens and buy from Shop Mom or Pop? Shop thoughtfully this season and send on the link to anyone who wants to support the community by making their gift giving also make treatments or adoption possible.
- If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!
- Empty Uterus (foster/adopt)
- Uterus of the Damned (IVF, over 35 and TTC)
- None Today.
- None Today.
- Carrie has to make some hard decisions right now about doing another IVF cycle. Please go over and give her some support.
- Dee needs your support during a very scary situation. Her daughter, Daniela, suffered a seizure last week brought on by viral pneumonia. Due to the seizure, the hospital ran a scan that also found a subdural hematoma. This type of injury can come about from a trauma but is also seen in abused children. Dee is now living every mother's worst nightmare where she doesn't know if the bleed is from a fall as Daniela learns to cruise or abuse at the daycare center. She really needs a lot of support right now. Please go circle the wagons and leave her good thoughts.
- MLO received a negative this weekend. Please go give her support.
- A bittersweet addition from Rebecca, sent in for a nameless couple she saw at the emergency room: "last week (Thursday) we had to go to Casualty because my dad cut his hand on a broken wine bottle. While we were there, there was a couple who were both very teary and clinging on to each other. She went to the toilet 5 times in half an hour, and when another lady tried to go into the loo, he loudly told her not to. She got seen in triage very quickly but then came back to the waiting room to see a Dr. Eventually she told the receptionist that she wasn't waiting any more, saying there was 'nothing you can do for me anyway'. It was obvious she was miscarrying/thought she was miscarrying. Maybe everything turned out all right for her, or maybe she has spent the last week grieving. I would like her commemorated in some small way - does that make sense?" I don't know--if there's a chance that someone can feel supported even without knowing where the feeling is coming from, I say it's worth a shot.
- We have two bloggers (and perhaps more?) on hospital bedrest who could use daily support and company. Please click over to I Think We Made a Nugget and Our Own Creation and leave them good thoughts and fun comments. If you are also at home or in the hospital on bedrest and need of support, leave a comment here and I'll start a new section for those who specifically need bedrest support.

All those positives and no losses? Go us!
What a huge list of positives!!!
Rebecca's commemoration touches me. To think that maybe someone saw me when I was going through my loss & might have thought about me afterwards... Whether or not that couple ever knows that they were thought of, it may help someone else who reads that.
Unfortunately must add a BFN. life from here just tested.
I'm in the very slow process of miscarrying for the fourth time. My hcg is lingering around 150 so it's too low for misoprostol or a D&C. So I just have to wait.
I am going to Las Vegas on the 12th and I am guessing that I will start to miscarry then. I miscarried in Mexico about this time last year. Yay vacations!
