Thursday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The Face-to-Face Lost and Found page is permanently located beneath this current post. Old Connections Abound can be accessed via the date or subject archives listed on the sidebar. Check the submissions page, FAQ, and ways to get involved for additional information. Email me at thetowncriers@gmail.com with any questions/concerns.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • We hit 1300 blogs on the blogroll today.
  • Question: Mrs. Spock has a breastfeeding question; namely, babies who will eat on one breast but not the other. If you can answer, head over to her blog.
  • Question: Waiting in Line has a question about hyperemesis gravidarum and the medications people have taken in the past. Please head over to her blog and tell her your protocol.
Old
  • Go forth and grab people: let's get more non-IFers to join NaComLeavMo--National Comment Leaving Month (national refers to wherever you're living at the time...), this year's answer to the Commentathon. Okay, more IFers too, but the non-IFers as well.
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!
NEW BLOGS (started in April or May 2008)
BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES (celebrate your birthday or blogoversary with the community. Send me date at any point and I'll post them on the correct day)
  • It is Luna's birthday this week. Go over and sing her a little song.
  • Friday is It's Either Sadness or Euphoria's wedding anniversary. Go wish the congratulations.
  • It's J and S's five year anniversary. Go wish them congratulations.
LOSS REMEMBRANCES (send in the dates of loss anniversaries and I will post them on the correct day)
  • Today would have been Zak's second birthday. Please go give Brenda a hug.
  • Friday is the birthday of The Shifty Shadow's daughter, Maya, who died on May 21st. This is a hard period of time for B. Please go over and support her.
LOSS ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • None Today.
MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • Io's comments are off but she could probably benefit from good thoughts sent cosmically instead of typed. Her husband lost his job and they are in a tough space right now. Please keep them in your hearts this week.
  • Infertility Just Sucks has placenta previa and she is understandably scared. Please go over and give her support.
  • Infertility & Hope is in the 2ww of IUI #4.
  • Infertility on the Brain is in the 2ww of IUI #4, which was a converted IVF due to poor response.
  • Journey to Junior is currently stimming for her last IVF with her eggs and could use a hug.
  • Just the 2 of Us got a negative beta on her last IVF cycle with her eggs. She could use some extra support.
  • Mommy Wanna-be is in a bad place after her failed IVF and could use some support. The RE said their only chance is IVF w/ICSI and without the financial means to proceed, she's considering changing employment to a company that offers insurance that covers IVF. She'd like some suggestions, if anyone can help.
  • My Sanctuary will have her beta tomorrow. Please go wish her good luck.
  • Today Life in the CatPad has her follow-up ultrasound to determine if she has a viable pregnancy. Please go give her good thoughts.
  • Resplendent Quetzal's father is not expected to live through the weekend. Please keep her in your thoughts.
BEDREST BABES: on bedrest following infertility or loss and needing support. Drop in on them and keep them company.
  • Trying is on bedrest due to gestational hypertension and low amniotic fluid.
  • Leah at Tales from My Dusty Ovaries is officially on bedrest.
  • Tracy is on modified bedrest and will probably remain like this for the remainder of the pregnancy.
  • Schatzi is on "increased rest" and will most likely be on bedrest for a large portion of her pregnancy.
  • When All Else Fails... is on bedrest due to a shortened cervix.
  • Geohde is on increased rest too as she keeps in the twins to 32 weeks.
  • Crowded Uterus Syndrome is on bedrest.
PREGNANCY ANNOUNCEMENTS AND NEWS
  • None Today.
BIRTH AND ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • Elizabeth from The I Word hasn't posted yet, but her c-section was today. Sending many good thoughts to her for an easy birth and recovery.
