MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • I really want a cup of tea but I don't want to leave my computer unattended to get it. It feels a little like Sisyphus to be this close to tea and not able to get it. And your favourite tea is...? Mine is current a good black assam. Vanilla chai is a close second.
  • Question: A question from an invite-only blogger: "As I consider returning to the TTC arena, I would like to hear from other bloggers who chose to continue taking Lamictal (or another Category C mood stablilizer) throughout pregnancy. It's such a fine balance, weighing the risks of taking a drug vs the risks of NOT taking it. Tell me why you're glad you stayed on your meds or what you wish you could have done differently. Please email me by clicking on my name: Bree. Thanks for any gentle guidance you can share!"

  • Shop Thoughtfully: Cali is now designing header art to help pay for her upcoming FET. Looking for a new design for your blog? Click on the link to see a few examples of her fantastic work.
  • Good Site: Though most probably already know about the donor sibling registry, there is a new site dedicated solely to health. It is called Donor Offspring Health and donors or recipients (or parents of recipients) can share health information as it arises.
  • Invite Only: Working on It has gone invite only. If you would like to keep reading along, you can contact Anna. She may be moving to a new space and if she does, I'll post the new url here.
  • Just for Fun: Go ape yourself over at Definition of Insanity.
  • Last week to join: NaComLeavMo--National Comment Leaving Month (national refers to wherever you're living at the time...), this year's answer to the Commentathon.
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!

  • Ashleigh at Afterwards is having her “longest day,” the same point in her current pregnancy that she woke up to terrible stillness in her pregnancy with Owen. Please go over and give her support.

  • Trying is on bedrest due to gestational hypertension and low amniotic fluid.
  • Tracy is on modified bedrest and will probably remain like this for the remainder of the pregnancy.
  • Schatzi is on "increased rest" and will most likely be on bedrest for a large portion of her pregnancy.
  • When All Else Fails... is on bedrest due to a shortened cervix.
  • Geohde is on increased rest too as she keeps in the twins to 32 weeks.

No, no, tea is gross. So is coffee. I always feel so un-adult because I don't drink either. I like hot chocolate, but that doesn't help with feeling grown-up. :)

Chai rules, but my favorite is a nice, herby sencha. Nectar of the gods!

Love chai! Once I actually had it made by a friend from the middle east, with the black tea blend being mixed with whole spices and dry roasted (gently) before steeping. Then you mix it with a drop or two of rosewater and half-and-half and it's absolute heaven.

'Course, if I make it for myself comes from Starbucks or out of a pouch.....
