Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The Face-to-Face Lost and Found page is permanently located beneath this current post. Old Connections Abound can be accessed via the date or subject archives listed on the sidebar. Check the submissions page, FAQ, and ways to get involved for additional information. Email me at thetowncriers@gmail.com with any questions/concerns.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New

  • There will be spotty Lost & Found updates next week. Just like that. Anything you send will be in the next L & F I post.
  • There are probably typo-s galore today. I am typing fast. Falling asleep. Typing fast.
  • Meet-the-Clicker: this new feature introduces you to the people who are clicking through your section of the blogroll. Take a moment to head over to their blog and give them some love; especially if they are clicking through your section and even if you belong in another one since they often send in all things they read along the way (Meet-the-Clicker is #1--6 below).
  1. Heidi of Thinking Miracles shared the origins of her blog's name: ust before I got pregnant the first time my best friend's mother gave me a magnet that said "Think Miracles". It has become our mantra. We know miracles happen, we've witnessed many, we am just waiting for one in particular.
  2. She clicks through the GLBT section of the blogroll.
  3. Her IF story in 100 words or less: 5 IUI's, Clomid, U/S a plenty, Shots here and there. Two babies who went to heaven too soon, and a never give up attitude.
  4. The rest of her world in 100 words or less: Grew up in Detroit, Michigan (I miss the big city), went to school in Rexburg, ID (where I met my wife-together for 13 years, "married" for 5). Moved to Amish Country, Pennsylvania (it's smelly here). I work in a hotel as the front desk manager (vacationers can be crazy...I love it!) One dog named Minnesota, and a cat (who thinks she is a dog) named Michigan.
  5. Best song ever written? "Somebody" by Depeche Mode.
  6. Heidi's question back to you (leave her a comment below): What is your favorite commercial?
  • Trade: Want to do an informal candy exchange? Clumsy Kisses is in the mood for candy. She will send to you if you will send to her (she's in the UK). Contact her through her blog.
  • Posting Again: Babes in Blogland (Babyblogorama) is back up and running. Many people enter their pregnancy and adoption information over there. Check it out.
  • Just Damn Fun: I did it wrong twice, but Josh got it to work on his first try. I love things like this. Thank you, Liana.
  • Virtual Baby Shower: Soapchick is holding a virtual baby shower for Tracy of Wonder Twins. Head over if you'd like to participate.
  • Question: Allison has a question on her blog: "If there are any of you out there who experienced PPROM and have since gotten pregnant again, or are trying, could you email me? I have some questions. My email is ourowncreation at gmail dot com. Put PPROM in the subject line so it doesn’t get deleted (I get so much spam these days, I sometimes just dump everything sent by a name I don’t recognize)."
  • Question: On Love and Loss writes: "I had an ultrasound today to check the follicles in my ovaries after my first round of clomid. It looks as though the clomid did not work and now I'm stuck in deciding whether to continue with higher doses of clomid or go on birth control
for 3 months to "restart" my system." Reassurance? Advice?
Old
  • Sign-up began for the Roundup Extravaganza (the summer version of the Creme de la Creme). Head over if you want to participate. There are already 100 on the list!
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!
