MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • I literally cannot get over how good Eat, Pray Love is. Has anyone else read this? I can't wait to jump back into reading it tonight. Just had to get that off my chest.
  • Bloggers in the News: Y'all saw that Coming2Terms was in the NEW YORK TIMES, right? Did you hear me just scream that? NEW YORK TIMES! As in the Times. As in the NEW YORK TIMES! Can you tell that I'm a tad excited?
  • Questions: Life in the Phisch Bowl has questions about doing IVF with one ovary. If you've been in this situation or have thoughts to give, please head over to her blog.
  • Question: Nuts in May writes, "I have just developed endometritis/post-operative infection after my ERPC (after my incomplete miscarriage). I feel rotten, and I was wondering how long I could expect to carry on feeling rotten for and what other interesting symptoms or 'developments' I could expect." If you have ever had a problem after a D & C or a D & E (ERPC stands for evacuation of retained products of conception--if that isn't a shitty term!), please go over to her blog and help. Regardless, go over to her blog and give her some love.
Old
  • Resource: Resolve just put out a free PDF you can print on progesterone information. "RESOLVE has developed a brochure which provides information on progesterone and its effect on the pregnancy cycle. In addition, the brochure discusses various methods of administration of progesterone."
  • Fundraiser: posting this for Hailey Kent's parents who conceived her via a surrogate. Please read and contribute to their fund. They are also asking people to watch this youtube video and rate it a 5.
  • Sign-up began for the Roundup Extravaganza (the summer version of the Creme de la Creme). Head over if you want to participate. There are already 100 on the list!
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!
NEW BLOGS (started in May or June 2008)

  • Taking the Statistical Bullet is celebrating her birthday next Wednesday. Go sing her a little song.
  • Next Friday is Flutter of Hope's blogoversary (okay, I know I'm getting ahead here, but I thought I'd dump out the whole calendar and repeat things later). Go wish her congratulations.
  • Almamay's birthday is today. Her blog is invite-only so you can leave her birthday messages here.
  • Chasing a Child is also having her birthday today. Go wish her a happy birthday.
LOSS REMEMBRANCES (send in the dates of loss anniversaries and I will post them on the correct day)

I just finished Eat, Pray, Love. On the beach. I agree that it is a most awesome book. Made me realllly miss Rome and left me slightly disgruntled that I did not marry an Italian. ;)

Liked Eat, Loved Pray, got so tired of Love that I wanted to throw it across the room without finishing.

Have to agree on Eat, Pray, Love - I finished it up onthe beach too - wonderful. My husdand kept giving me strange looks when it made me laugh out loud though!

And yeah, I saw Coming2Terms in the NYT too, I kept saying "WOOHOO!" over and over in my cubicle.

Ooh, must now see if the library has Eat Pray Love - I grew up in Italy and I'm all intrigued.

Thank's for the mention. Much appreciated.

I loved the book too.. I picked it up at an airport, best plane book ever!

Didn't read another book for a few weeks after it --- nothing seemed promising enough:) That dry spell didn't last too long though!
