Tuesday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The Face-to-Face Lost and Found page is permanently located beneath this current post. Old Connections Abound can be accessed via the date or subject archives listed on the sidebar. Check the submissions page, FAQ, and ways to get involved for additional information. Email me at thetowncriers@gmail.com with any questions/concerns.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

Connections Abound

  • IComLeavWe kicked off today. Come on...a measly week is much more do-able than a full month, nu?
  • Found?: I ask with a question mark because she was never really lost, but Infertile, Not Inferior has a new blog called Kate...Uncensored if you have been looking for her. It is listed on the blogroll under Non-IF blogs by IFers.
  • Invite Only: Empty Arms, Longing Heart is starting a new blog that will be password protected. If you wish to be included in the readership you need to contact her. Her contact information is included on her old blog.
  • All assignments have been emailed out for the Roundup Extravaganza. If it's not in your inbox, check your spam filter and then contact me and I'll resend.
  • New Face-to-Face Group: for the New Haven Area (CT). If you live up in Connecticut, contact Emily from Emily the Hopeless.
  • Change Your Bookmarks: http://blurbthis.blogspot.com will soon be disappearing and will only be http://www.bloorb.com/. Change your bookmarks so you don't miss one bit of Chicklet.
  • Question: Finding Motherhood has questions on her blog about hairloss and drugs--specifically Metformin, Follistim, or Gonal F. Head over to her blog if you can help.
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!
NEW BLOGS (started in May or June 2008)
  • None Today.
BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES (celebrate your birthday or blogoversary with the community. Send me date at any point and I'll post them on the correct day)
  • There's Hope is celebrating her anniversary today. Go wish her congratulations.
  • We missed Adventures in Life's birthday last Saturday, but it's not too late to go over and sing her a little song.
  • Dreams Come True...Sometimes had her birthday yesterday. You can still go over and eat a piece of cake in her honour.
LOSS REMEMBRANCES (send in the dates of loss anniversaries and I will post them on the correct day)
  • None Today.
  • PerchanceToDream's beta went down. Please go over there and give her support.
  • Missed Conceptions lost her father last week, only days after the birth of her son. Please go over and give her love.
MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • Womb For Improvement has her HSG tomorrow. Go wish her luck.
  • Samantha has experienced some light bleeding this week while away at a conference. She has her first ultrasound on Thursday. She could use our love happy thoughts. She also would like to hear from ladies who have had good outcomes despite early pregnancy bleeding. Go give her a pep talk!
  • Communique could use a hug as she navigates friendship difficulties.
  • Road to Adopt could use some support as she is going through a difficult time with the adoption process.
  • Down That Dirt Road has her retrieval tentatively set for the 10th. Go wish her good luck.
  • I Think I Hear Your Mother Calling is having a shitty week and could use a hug.
  • My Open Book is having her biopsy on the 10th. Unfortunately, her CA 125 levels are elevated, which in addition to the mass are pointing towards ovarian cancer. Please go over and give her support.
  • My Journey to Mommyhood is having problems with an anonymous poster. Go show her that you have her back.
  • Topcat could use some hugs. Some love. Some good thoughts.
  • Cali's FET cycle is truly kicking off. Go wish her good luck!
  • I Want to Be a Mommy is in the wait. Go keep her company.
  • S, wife of Cheese and Whine, came through surgery well. Go give them both good wishes for a quick recovery.
BEDREST BABES: on bedrest following infertility or loss and needing support. Drop in on them and keep them company.
  • Trying is on bedrest due to gestational hypertension and low amniotic fluid.
  • Schatzi is down for the count and will be horizontal the rest of the pregnancy. Her doctor is worried about preeclampsia.
  • When All Else Fails... is on bedrest due to a shortened cervix.
  • Geohde is on increased rest too as she keeps in the twins to 32 weeks.
  • Crowded Uterus Syndrome is on bedrest.
  • Milenka is on bedrest due to low fluid.
  • It Will Happen is on bedrest for a shortened cervix.
  • Gas Passer is on bedrest for the rest of her pregnancy.
  • Amy gave birth to the twins on June 26th. Both are still in the NICU. Go over and give Amy congratulations and support.
  • Such is Life had a girl, Lizzie, on July 1st (this morning!). Head over to wish her congratulations.
  • Brenda at LifeCanBeAShit gave birth to a girl, Georgia, on June 27th. Go over and wish her well. The password for the post is "sunshine" (and yes, it can be publicly mentioned. The password is simply so people who want to read the post can and others who are not up to reading pregnancy/birth news can wait).

Anyone know what happened to "Still Standing Strong in A Bloom of Hope?" Her blog seems to have been deleted.
