Monday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The Face-to-Face Lost and Found page is permanently located beneath this current post. Old Connections Abound can be accessed via the date or subject archives listed on the sidebar. Check the submissions page, FAQ, and ways to get involved for additional information. Email me at with any questions/concerns.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

Connections Abound

  • IComLeavWe list is up for September. Join the comment-loving-athon.
  • Bridges continues to post daily. And it continues to be an amazing resource for insight into a multitude of worlds. And I'm not just saying that because I work on it.
  • Connection: To Walk with G-d is Gracious is looking to make a connection with a similar blogger. Her four-month-old son died two years ago. They are currently grappling with secondary infertility as they try to conceive again without their first child. If you are a blogger (or reader) who is in a similar situation (secondary infertility without the first child) please contact her via her blog.
  • Give Advice: Busted is looking for feedback on a letter she wrote to the hospital. Please head over and give her your thoughts.
  • Help Her Out: Kicking You From the Inside has a post about a 5k that is being held in honor of Liz Goodman Logelin Sept 21st. For more information, you can go here and participate too.
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!
NEW BLOGS (started in August or September 2008)
BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES (celebrate your birthday or blogoversary with the community. Send me date at any point and I'll post them on the correct day)
  • It was Samantha's birthday this past weekend. Go over and have some cake with her.
  • A Cop, A Nurse, 3 Dogs, and Maybe Baby is celebrating her anniversary this Thursday. Go over and wish them congratulations.
  • Okay, so I told you to celebrate too soon. This past weekend was Beth's birthday. Go over and sing her a little song.
  • Modern Millie also celebrated her birthday this past weekend. Go over and sing her a song.
LOSS REMEMBRANCES (send in the dates of loss anniversaries and I will post them on the correct day)
  • Expecting a Miracle will be remembering a past loss on Wednesday when they discovered the baby had no heartbeat. Please give her a hug.
  • And Not By Sight was remembering an unfulfilled due date this past weekend.
  • CLC is remembering Hannah since it has been nine months.
  • Amy is remembering William nine months later.
  • Baby Blues lost her grandfather. Go on over and give her a hug.
MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • Bloorb got a negative on this last IVF cycle. Please go give her a hug.
  • Browneyedgirl is experiencing some spotting and she is very nervous right now. She has a scan next Friday. Go give her some support and hugs until then.
  • Go keep May company during the wait.
  • Long Distance Infertility is stressed beyond belief. Go over and give her a hug.
  • One of Cathy's sons had surgery for hydrocephalus on Friday. She could use some positive thoughts for a speedy recovery.
  • Julia has her hysterectomy coming up this Wednesday. Please go over and give her support.
  • Baby Wanted: Apply Within is having her FET tomorrow. She could use some good wishes.
  • Brenda’s sister is doing a little better but is now fighting a new infection. Brenda could use lots of support for all the upheaval her family is going through.
  • STE needs some love.
  • Get Pregnant had an HSG that showed scar tissue and a blocked tube. She will need to have another hysteroscopy.
  • Elizabeth ended up having a three day transfer of three embryos to her surrogate. This cycle wasn't as good as she had hoped, and she's understandably a little emotional to have finally made it this far. She could use some people to wait with her.
BEDREST BABES: on bedrest following infertility or loss and needing support. Drop in on them and keep them company.
  • Ten Times Crazier is in the hospital on bedrest for contractions and her cervix is dilating. She will be in the hospital until 34 weeks or until the twins come.
  • Gas Passer is on bedrest for the rest of her pregnancy.
  • Rebecca at My F*cked up Uterus is on modified bedrest and due in less than a month.
  • A Uterus Divided is on hospital bedrest.
  • Sue at just received word that she has a positive beta on her donor egg cycle after a very long haul! While she doesn't have a blog, she reads and supports a number of blogs, so you may recognize her profile. She also has met with the NC Bloggers. So please leave a comment here on the LFCA or send her an email of congrats!
  • Doubling betas for Trying to Become Pregnant with PCOS.
  • It's a boy for Chasing Blue Sky.
  • Butterfly on My Shoulder had a great nuchal translucency test last Friday.
  • My No Baby Blues is pregnant.
  • Incompl_te is pregnant.
  • Baby Godot had a boy on September 10th. Go over and wish her congratulations.

Congratulations Sue! May the next eight months be wonderful (followed by years of wonderful except for some angsty moments during the teenage years)!
