Tuesday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The Face-to-Face Lost and Found page is permanently located beneath this current post. Old Connections Abound can be accessed via the date or subject archives listed on the sidebar. Check the submissions page, FAQ, and ways to get involved for additional information. Email me at thetowncriers@gmail.com with any questions/concerns.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • IComLeavWe list is up for September. Join the comment-loving-athon.
  • Bridges continues to post daily. And it continues to be an amazing resource for insight into a multitude of worlds. And I'm not just saying that because I work on it.
  • Watch It: The Today Show is doing a week-long series on fertility. I've missed it up until this point, but I'm going to try to catch it tomorrow. It looks like you can view some videos online.
  • Participate: Dr. Phil has a call out for married, Arizona couples who are adopting. Hmmm...
  • Celebrate It: Shaken Mama is a new blogger on Health.com. Go wish her congratulations and support her work.
  • Giveaway: Life after Infertility and Loss is having a pretty dark giveaway in honour of her hysterectomy tomorrow (the gifts are not dark...just the guesswork). Please go over and not only guess the weight, but also give her good wishes for the surgery.
  • Question: Antigone is asking for suggestions for coping with the bad days. Please go to her blog if you have some helpful thoughts.
Old
  • Connection: To Walk with G-d is Gracious is looking to make a connection with a similar blogger. Her four-month-old son died two years ago. They are currently grappling with secondary infertility as they try to conceive again without their first child. If you are a blogger (or reader) who is in a similar situation (secondary infertility without the first child) please contact her via her blog.
  • Give Advice: Busted is looking for feedback on a letter she wrote to the hospital. Please head over and give her your thoughts.
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!
NEW BLOGS (started in August or September 2008)

  • Baby Wanted: Apply Within had her FET today. She could use some good wishes.
  • Thursday is the last day of It's Either Sadness or Euphoria's donor egg prep cycle, which means they are active on the wait list for a donor. Go send her good thoughts that one pops up soon.
  • Sunny had a negative beta--please go over and give her a hug.
  • CLC had a threatened miscarriage with lots of bleeding and went off to the ER. She has a large hematoma which is what likely caused the bleeding. She also has a question about a high heartrate.
  • Life in the White House is having her beta on Thursday. Go give her good thoughts.
BEDREST BABES: on bedrest following infertility or loss and needing support. Drop in on them and keep them company.
