Wednesday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The Face-to-Face Lost and Found page is permanently located beneath this current post. Old Connections Abound can be accessed via the date or subject archives listed on the sidebar. Check the submissions page, FAQ, and ways to get involved for additional information. Email me at with any questions/concerns.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

Connections Abound

  • Life is getting back to normal. Sorry for the spotty LFCAs for the last two weeks. I went far back into the updates I had unless the news seemed old. I think I am switching to posting the LFCA in the morning starting next week. I seem to be up in the air about this as I settle into a new schedule. Sorry about that. It just means that if you want to make sure you have something in the next morning, send it the afternoon or the night before.
  • New IComLeavWe list is up for September. Join the comment-loving-athon.
  • Bridges continues to post daily. And it continues to be an amazing resource for insight into a multitude of worlds. And I'm not just saying that because I work on it.
  • Watch It: Watch Jenn from Jenn's Journal on the news!
  • Watch It: Resolve's Advocacy Day video.
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!
NEW BLOGS (started in August or September 2008)
BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES (celebrate your birthday or blogoversary with the community. Send me date at any point and I'll post them on the correct day)
  • Our Own Creation is celebrating her anniversary tomorrow. Go over and wish them congratulations.
  • Beth's husband is celebrating his birthday today. Go sing him a little song.
  • Baby Smiling in Back Seat and her husband are celebrating their wedding anniversary this week. Go wish them congratulations.
  • It's Monogrammed Mom's anniversary today. Go wish them congratulations.
  • Emily at Apron Strings for Emily celebrated her 12th wedding anniversary 3 days ago.
LOSS REMEMBRANCES (send in the dates of loss anniversaries and I will post them on the correct day)
  • None Today.
MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • MerrieB's HSG is tomorrow. Go wish her good luck.
  • Life in a Holding Pattern is collecting good thoughts for a blogless friend who has just had her third loss. Please go over and give her support.
  • I Thought Unicorns Were a Myth could use some cheering on--she is currently having a hard time stimming with her current surrogacy cycle. She could use some good thoughts.
  • Sighing Softly's sister, Daphne, had a baby boy, Lincoln, earlier this week. Lincoln is doing well, but Daphne has a fever of unknown origin that the hospital is having difficulty getting under control. Keep their family in your thoughts.
  • The Way I See It was able to bring Colin home on Friday!
  • May has finally finished her dissertation! She deserves a huge party for that! Go over and drop by with some fun treats to celebrate with her! Congrats May! You did it!
  • Myherstory's mother had some very bad test results. Her cancer has gotten worse and has now settled into her blood system. Go over and flood her with love and hugs as they try to make sense of things and figure out what to do.
  • Searching For Hope is struggling through the aftermath of Gustav. She could use some hugs and prayers.
  • Infertile. Who, Me? is in beta hell again. Please go over and give support.
  • Trish at Fertile Hope gets to take Robby home on 9/4/08 after 13 very long weeks. Go over and wish them congratulations.
  • Bleu's ultrasound didn't bring the peace she wanted. Go sit with her while she waits and breathes.
  • Michell is finally finished with that awful contract and is currently figuring out where to go next.
BEDREST BABES: on bedrest following infertility or loss and needing support. Drop in on them and keep them company.
  • Ten Times Crazier is in the hospital on bedrest for contractions and her cervix is dilating. She will be in the hospital until 34 weeks or until the twins come.
  • Gas Passer is on bedrest for the rest of her pregnancy.
  • Rebecca at My F*cked up Uterus is on modified bedrest and due in less than a month.
  • A Uterus Divided is on hospital bedrest.
