Tuesday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point to Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

Connections Abound

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • I'm still pouring drinks at the Virtual Lushary.
  • Question: Dora has a question for the masses: "Questions for those of you who considered donating your extra frozen embryos (whether you actually had extra or not): Would you have considered donating to a single woman? Why, or why not? What kind of information would you want from her?" The donor that she had previously connected with looks like she will be backing out or looking elsewhere. She could use some support.
Old
  • Connection: from Where to go from here... writes: "looking for anyone in the Tulsa, OK area to help support another mom who has lost her child to stillbirth. Looking for support groups that are appropriate or another mother willing to do a face to face hook up. Please let me know!" Contact her via her blog.
  • Giveaway: Write Black is giving away a copy of the infertility book, The Untelling, by Tayari Jones. Go over to win it.
  • More Books: New books listed up on The Batty Book Exchange. Go see if you want to trade.
  • Barren Bitches (and Man-Pie) Book Brigade is reading Harriet the Spy. Join along.
  • Um...hello...did you check out the new stuff happening with U.T.E.R.U.S.?
  • Bridges continues to post daily. And it continues to be an amazing resource for insight into a multitude of worlds. And I'm not just saying that because I work on it.
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!
NEW BLOGS (started in September or October 2008)
BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES (celebrate your birthday or blogoversary with the community. Send me date at any point and I'll post them on the correct day)
  • Yesterday was Emilie's husband Steve's birthday- and they had to spent it going between the doctor's office and hospital for tests. The two of them deserve cake and a song.
  • Mommy to an Angel celebrated her seventh wedding anniversary yesterday. Go wish them congratulations.
LOSS REMEMBRANCES (send in the dates of loss anniversaries and I will post them on the correct day)
  • None Today.
