Monday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point to Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • Come have a drink at the Virtual Lushary.
  • Question: Miss Conception has just experienced a failed donor embryo FET with two grade one blasts. There are three remaining frozen grade one blasts from the same batch and she is trying to decide whether she should cycle again with these. Has anyone gone on to have a successful pregnancy using embryos from the same batch as a failed cycle? (Miss C.'s blog has gone underground, but readers can leave a comment on her old blog or email her at missyconception@gmail.com).
  • Connection: from Where to go from here... writes: "looking for anyone in the Tulsa, OK area to help support another mom who has lost her child to stillbirth. Looking for support groups that are appropriate or another mother willing to do a face to face hook up. Please let me know!" Contact her via her blog.
  • Giveaway: Write Black is giving away a copy of the infertility book, The Untelling, by Tayari Jones. Go over to win it.
  • More Books: New books listed up on The Batty Book Exchange. Go see if you want to trade.
Old
  • Barren Bitches (and Man-Pie) Book Brigade is reading Harriet the Spy. Join along.
  • Um...hello...did you check out the new stuff happening with U.T.E.R.U.S.?
  • Bridges continues to post daily. And it continues to be an amazing resource for insight into a multitude of worlds. And I'm not just saying that because I work on it.
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!
NEW BLOGS (started in September or October 2008)
BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES (celebrate your birthday or blogoversary with the community. Send me date at any point and I'll post them on the correct day)
  • Stacie's boys turn one today. Go wish her congratulations on the first year.
  • It's Mark's 35th birthday today! Go sing him a little song.
  • Chasing a Child is celebrating her first blogoversary. Go wish her congratulations.
LOSS REMEMBRANCES (send in the dates of loss anniversaries and I will post them on the correct day)
  • Amanda at The Hoyt Family remembered the due date of her son, Noah Joel, last Friday. Please go give her a hug.
  • Msfitzita lost her first baby five years ago last Saturday. Please go give her a hug.
LOSS ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • G is probably having a tubal pregnancy in her only good tube. Please go over and give her support.
  • K from Scarred Bellybutton's grandfather passed away - please keep her and her family in you thoughts.
MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • Nh's beta test on today following her FET.
  • Samill got an abnormal test result back on her smear. She isn't supposed to TTC for another six months. Please go give her support.
  • Sara at Gas Passer could use a little hug and good thoughts. Her little girl is doing fine - but Sara has gotten quite a bit sicker with the nausea and vomiting and they are likely to use more invasive treatment to give her and Spot nutrition.
  • After many losses, many tries, Dee was finally on her way to a healthy twin pregnancy. Now, at just over 13 weeks she might be losing both of them due to twin A's waters breaking. She is currently in the hospital but the doctors are not giving her much hope for either twin (even though twin B appears to be totally healthy). Dee needs lots of support (she is in the dark "I am not fit to be a Mother place") and any input or advice from someone that has BTDT.
  • Our Life With Triplets and Teenagers is in a stressful space right now. The media has picked up on her story of her mother being the surrogate for her triplets and her blog is being inundated with hate mail. Please go give her encouraging thoughts.
  • Clare's donor egg cycle didn't work. Her donor can't do another cycle and it could be months if not years before she can find another donor.
  • Clio celebrates the finalization of daughter Evie's adoption today.
BEDREST BABES: on bedrest following infertility or loss and needing support. Drop in on them and keep them company.
  • Ten Times Crazier is in the hospital on bedrest for contractions and her cervix is dilating. She will be in the hospital until 34 weeks or until the twins come.
  • Gas Passer is on bedrest for the rest of her pregnancy.
  • A Uterus Divided is on bedrest.
  • The Duchess is on bedrest.
  • CC at Inconceivable No More got a fetal fibronectin test and so is on modified bedrest for at least the next two week. Go keep her company.
PREGNANCY ANNOUNCEMENTS AND NEWS
  • Meg saw a second line at 10dpo! Go hold your breath with her while she awaits her beta.
BIRTH AND ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • After a placental abruption, Ahuva Batya delivered her son, Solomon, and both are doing well. Go over and wish them congratulations.
