Monday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point to Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • Daylight Savings Time AND voting in one week? Pure craziness.
  • Another place to vote: Please vote for Shauna in this contest. The money will be used to pay for fertility treatments if she wins.
  • Idea: Knocked Up, Knocked Down is thinking of starting a literary magazine "for the TTC/KuKd set, comprised of readers' submitted essays, poetry, columns, and even artwork/photography. There are lot of cool 'zines for so-called normal mommas - but what about the reproductively wacked? I believe that writing is hugely cathartic not just for me, but for others who are at a point in their lives where they need some human connection in this lonely-seeming journey of infertility or knocked-downage. Regardless of what your situation is, you certainly have a unique perspective that others can benefit from." Go over and vote on the title.
  • Question: Turia has a friend who is struggling with trying to conceive while not taking her anti-depressants. She is finding the side effects from Clomid and progesterone are sending her to a very dark place. If anyone has experience they can share on how they coped with side effects without going back on their anti-depressants, could they leave a comment on Turia's blog and she'll pass the advice on to her friend.
  • Question: Pancake Saturday writes, "I am hoping that someone can recommend a good Pediatric GI within an hour of the Atlanta, GA area. We're also looking for a good Pediatric Pulmonologist or Pediatric Allergist. We are in Athens and don't mind traveling. I'm private, but you can e-mail me at Trying4two@gmail.com."
  • Question: Tammy from Tammy's Journey is looking to connect with or find someone else who had their IVF transfer cancelled because the eggs didn't divide after fertilizing. She recently had her transfer cancelled for this reason. 4 of her eggs fertilized but none divided.
