Tuesday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point to Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

  • Project: Taking the Statistical Bullet writes: "I am starting a project of sorts on my blog. I want to do memorials for those who have lost a baby and/or experienced infertility. In a nutshell, every Monday, I will post a story about someone who has experience infertility and/or loss and would like support from our community. If they e-mail me their story (either as they would like it written or in snippets that I can rewrite into a more formal post), then I will post it and they will have recognition of their pain."

We've looked a bit into a couple of agencies, but beyond that we're completely overwhelmed. Being that we live in NY there are some strange adoption laws. Any input would be fantastic! Thanks."
  • Question: Debbie might have uncontrolled diabetes early in her pregnancy, and she's worried that this might have affected the babies organ development. Go over to her blog if you have had any experience with this.
  • Question: Waiting on Life asks: "Our social worker is coming for the home visit part of our home study. I am excited and nervous. Any suggestions from others who have been through it would be very much appreciated."

That may just be the longest "Misc. Support" list I have ever seen on LF, and that is zero judgment on your posting schedule, Mel. Wowie. I'll try and get around to the best of my ability, but in the meantime, hugs and cups of virtual hot chocolate and marshamallows for everyone.
