Monday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point to Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • Kirtsy'd Pick O' the Day: Please vote for this one from Healing Arts. A post about how one defines infertility. It is about the mind games, the twisting of words, the linguistic reaches. And in the end, still remaining in the same place. It is a post about marriage and it is a beautifully-written one at that. How do you vote? Simply by clicking on the link above and then clicking on the post's title. Why the Kirtsy'd Pick O' the Day? Click on that link in the header navigation bar above for the story. And send me stuff!
  • 89 people already on the The Creme de la Creme List. Are you?
  • New IComLeavWe list opened for December (with a caveat about participating over Christmas). Come join along and increase your comments.
  • Opportunity: I don't know this particular press, but a blogger sent this in: Catalyst Book Press is seeking literary essays telling personal stories of miscarriage for an anthology, in particular emotional and spiritual ramifications of miscarriage or the transformations that occurred in people’s lives as a result of undergoing or observing a miscarriage. They are looking for essays that reflect a diversity of experiences and outcomes. Authors of accepted essays will receive $50 for their stories and one copy of the publication. Deadline is 8/15/09.
  • Vote: Mrs. Spit is asking everyone to go vote for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, since it is a cause close to her heart and her family.
  • Question: Please Give Me Back My Heart has some questions about the MTHFR mutation. They've found out that she carries one copy and her husband carries two. She's having trouble finding any information on this scenario and how it could affect their baby.
  • Question: Ange has some questions about her placenta being too low and could use some reassurance.
Old
  • Bridges continues to post daily. And it continues to be an amazing resource for insight into a multitude of worlds. And I'm not just saying that because I work on it.
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!
