Monday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point to Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • Kirtsy'd Pick O' the Day: Please vote for this one from ISO the Golden Egg. Musings on empathy best summed up by this line in the post: "I salute my sisters who cram their feet into each other’s shoes, endure the pain in order to listen, to really hear." How do you vote? Simply by clicking on the words "this one" above and then clicking on the post's title. Why the Kirtsy'd Pick O' the Day? Click on that link in the header navigation bar above for the story. And send me stuff!
  • Deadline is Friday: 139 people already on the The Creme de la Creme List. Are you?
  • LFCA Category Update: since people were all over the place in their feeling about receiving messages of support long after a fact, I've decided to just include notes in the support section as we've usually done. Which means that even if it long after a moment and you need support, you should list it.
  • You Know: You know how good you felt when someone came to your blog for the first time? Well, Niki's gestational carrier, K, just wrote her first post on Niki's blog and she could use some well-wishes welcoming her into the community. That's my little way of nudging you over there.
  • Project: Clio writes: "I started an astrology research project looking for common trends in charts of women experiencing, or who have experienced IF, as a way to better understand patterns and possibilities when they finally get pregnant as well. I am aware of many studies that use astrology to find fertile times, but no published study that discusses infertility in the charts and how different planets may affect those patterns. I explain everything in this post and I'm inviting all women in this community to participate. The more data I can gather the more comprehensive and accurate I can get. Participants can volunteer their information anonymously as well. I'll be posting updates in all my findings. Thank you!"
  • Project: Sassy at Cupcakes and Conundrums is inviting people to share photos of how their community and their family is celebrating Christmas this year. Leave a comment on her blog to let her know that you'll be participating.
  • Giveaway: Baby Smiling In Back Seat is having a giveaway to celebrate Creme de la Creme. Guess her favorite post and you might win some pottery! Submit your guess by Thursday 12/18 at midnight EST.
Old
  • New IComLeavWe list opened for December (with a caveat about participating over Christmas). Come join along and increase your comments.
  • Bridges continues to post daily. And it continues to be an amazing resource for insight into a multitude of worlds. And I'm not just saying that because I work on it.
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!
