595th Issue of the LFCA

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point of Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the
infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

Connections Abound

  • Note from Editor: And now for the insanely long LFCA... Thank you for everyone who gave their thoughts on the last post. There's certainly more than enough news today to make it a daily occurrence, though it's more a note to keep submitting news when you have news. You don't need to stretch and create it, but we all have things going on where we could use more eyes on our words--whether it is for celebration or support.
  • Project: Calliope at Creating Motherhood writes: "Have a question? Have an answer? An open ended advice post is now up and I am looking for questions and people to answer them. Join in and be an expert!"
  • Project: After struggling with endometriosis, adenomyosis, a hysterectomy, and now an upcoming oopherectomy, Sonja is wanting to take back her womanhood--she wants to celebrate it, not look at it as a burden. She has some ideas of her own, but is really wanting to hear ideas/thoughts/advice from other women, regardless if they've traveled down the same path as her.
  • Advice: Praying for a Little One is looking for recommendations for a RE in the St. Louis area for a reader without a blog. Please leave a comment on her blog with your recs or email
  • Advice: Julie could use some advice after getting a second opinion.
  • Advice: Jo could use a little advice or support from folks who have been on thyroid medications while pregnant. She's a little nervous about the implications and could use a little support right now.
  • Question: Mrs.Spit has a question about purchasing fertiity monitors - specifically about your experiences with the clear plan digital monitors with the sticks or the Ovacue systems. Have you used either or both? Did you like one better than the other? Do you happen to have one second hand that you might be willing to sell?
  • Question: Foxy Popcorn is new to the community, and is really enjoying leaving and responding to comments. How is she supposed to know when a blogger has responded to her comment by leaving a follow up comment on their post? She is also wondering if/how bloggers will know that she has left a follow up comment to their comment on her posts?
  • First Time Reading the LFCA: If this is your first time reading the LFCA or you need a refresher about how the LFCA works, please read this post. It has everything you need to know about getting your news in the LFCA.

MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • Anxious Mummy has made the decision to move on to IVF after 3 failed IUI cycles. She is nervous and could use some encouraging words from those who have walked this path before.
  • Tackybuzzer is having a wine party. She's in between cycles, mulling things over and having wine in the mean time.
  • Bummed Uterus is having a hard time dealing with her son moving on from Kindergarten and keeps thinking that this could be the only time she gets to experience this huge milestone. She could use some encouraging words.
  • Arlyne is in the wait between ER and ET on her Third IVF attempt. For the first time ever, she has 5 embies and had a 100% fert rate. ET is on Sunday and she could use some love.
  • After a 7 week wait, Al's beta is finally negative after suffering through her second pregnancy loss - an ectopic. She's ready to start moving forward but could use some love sent her way.
  • Michelle and her husband could use some support dealing with a friend's new baby.
  • Mis(sed)conception just started stims for her upcoming first (and hopefully, only) IVF. Retrieval and transfer are tentatively scheduled for the week of 6/21. Send her some extra prayers and support this week.
  • Dreaming With a Broken Heart is feeling depressed and overwhelmed after her first post-loss clomid cycle failed. She could use a hug and a few cocktails.
  • April needs support right now. She is still trying to grasp that her IVF failed and that she may never become pregnant again. Her husband is out of town and she doesn't have anyone to talk to right now.
  • Stephanie finally got some good news when she went for her HSG. Her tubes are clear!
  • Brittany got blood test results back that show the thyroid medications are finally right. On with the babymaking!
  • Rosie doesn't have a good feeling about the results of her FET and POAS doesn't look good. She could use some advice on timing for the next FET around a vacation/holiday.
  • MusicMakerMomma just isn't feeling it. She could use some help shaking this off to prep for the next FET.
  • Fertility Nerd got a hold of some optimism and is alive! Help her bottle it up and save it for the ups and down ahead in her next cycle.
  • Olive Leah just had her baseline ultrasound for her first IUI cycle. Go wish her luck and send her your advice as this cycle gets underway.
  • Megan could use a little love and support right now.
  • Hannah's sister's family (brother-in-law, nephew and baby on the way) will be moving 9 hours away for a new job opportunity. She could use some guidance as she tries to support her sister but also navigate this feeling of loss and distance.
  • Ginger and Lime is having some serious trouble with her supervisor at work. Please head over and give her some support.
  • Allison is dealing with anxiety and depression right now - she could use some love.
  • Jen at Maybe if You Just Relax is PUPO after transferring two "beautiful and perfect" blastocysts & cryo-twins to her adorable Oliva. Wish her luck for next Thursday's beta.
