692nd Issue of the LFCA

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point of Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the
infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

Connections Abound

  • Important Day: Every year, on March 9th (Wednesday), Msfitzita holds a Random Act of Kindness Day in honour of her son, Thomas, who died in 2005. Please take that day to reach out to another person and let her know what good thing you did in honour of her son.
  • Giveaway: Too Many Fish To Fry writes, "I'm celebrating my one year blogoversary with a giveaway to thank the ALI community, because you have been so supportive and amazing. Prizes include a $50 Target gift card and free books ("Life From Scratch", "Waiting for Daisy", "Navigating the Land of If", and "The Early Birds"). Please stop by and enter the drawing!"

Very worried about her." If you are One Good Egg or know that she's okay, please leave an update in the comment section.

  • Advice: The Lucky Life is seeking help/story of somebody else who has faced the same thing as one of her close friends. Her friend had her first IVF cycle and had 3 x 19mm follies but no eggs. Any information about somebody having experienced a similar thing will be appreciated.
  • Fundraiser: The Lost Stork Foundation is a new non-profit organization that will be awarding grants for couples going through infertility treatments, adoption or surrogacy. They started selling cookbooks as their first fundraiser last fall but still have many left to sell before they can start taking grant applications. Please visit Meghan Swann's blog, Swann's Pond, or visit the LSF's website at to purchase a cookbook for $10. Even if you cannot purchase a cookbook, please spread the word about this new non-profit and show your support!

Sweet Grapes was a book that helped get me out of the IF helplessness.
