Monday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The Lost and Found page is permanently located beneath this current post. Old Connections Abound can be accessed via the date or subject archives listed on the sidebar. Check the submissions page, FAQ, and ways to get involved for additional information. Email me at with any questions/concerns.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

Connections Abound

  • This Tuesday's Oprah: Lisa Ling Investigates: Wombs for Rent. How far would you go to have a baby? Meet a woman halfway around the world who's pregnant with an American couple's baby. Then, why Martha Stewart's daughter spends almost $28,000 a month trying to make Martha a grandmother. Um...the words are Oprah's--not mine...
NEW BLOGS (started in September or October of 2007)
BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES:A new section. Celebrate your birthday or blogoversary with the community. Send me dates for October/November right now and I'll post them on the correct day.
  • Michelle's anniversary is today, October 8. It's their 13th anniversary! Go offer them congratulations.
  • Tina's 9th anniversary is on Wednesday, October 10. Go tell them congratulations!
  • None Today.
MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT:Bed rest, scary scans, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebrations!
  • Chris at Love, Hope, and Faith could use some support right now. Though they retrieved 9, only 3 embryos are still dividing. She is keeping zen and transferring all three. Please go wish her good luck for transfer.
  • Very good appointment for Bea at Infertile Fantasies. Go breathe a sigh of relief with her.
  • Kami's betas are doubling in under 30 hours! Go over and celebrate with her.
  • Mrs. Planner has a second line. Go over to That Was the Plan and give her congratulations. She's keeping cool and calm right now.
  • Chili is no longer waiting on two pink lines (get it?)...she got a positive. Go over and wish her congratulations.
  • Kelly at The Craziness We Call Life had her second child--a daughter named Ashley--on October 6. Go over and wish her congratulations.
