MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • Happy Halloween... Boo!
  • Blog Fair for the Lost and Found on Friday (password-protected blogs). Send your info by Thursday at noon (EST) if you want to be included.
  • Jess asks: " Anyone know anything about Wiscadoo or Carrie from Stork Files? I miss them and worry about what became of them both, especially Carrie, since she was due about the same time as I am!" Carrie and Wiscadoo: check in?
  • Barb has a question about the antibody panel. If you've had this blood work done, swing by her blog and answer her question.
  • Waiting has moved. The new space is Are We There Yet?!. Move on over with her...
  • Sending good thoughts to Sulawishes.
  • From Art-Sweet: "UNICEF has repeatedly tried to disrupt adoptions in Guatemala without doing anything to alleviate the poverty, misogyny and lack of access to family planning that are at the root of Guatemala's adoption "surplus." In a country where, as UNICEF representative Manuel Manrique has acknowledged malnutrition among Guatemalan indigenous children is more severe than the situation in Haiti, and is completely against the ethical principles of any government," don't you think UNICEF has better things to do with its time and money than agitate against adoption?" Go to her site to read more.
Old
  • Leave a wish. Support a wish.
  • This upcoming Thursday (Nov 1) is Bea's Girls Night In: "on Thursday, November 1st, we're having a Girl-Blogger's Night In. Pour a relaxing bath, open a bottle of wine, get your favourite snacks and DVD together, bring a friend and do a facial, or just take the night off to read in bed. Blog about your evening and send me a link to the post. Then donate**, at the cancer council's website, the amount of money you would have spent on a night out. Let's make the fiftieth good deed one for the girls!"
  • Kristen writes: "I see that Wishing It Would Get Easier has gone PWP. I would love to be invited so I could catch up with her."
  • I may have wasted a lot of time this afternoon over here. But it's all Rebecca's fault from Clumsy Kisses. Her giveaway opened up an entire world of giveaways. Go win free things.

My birthday is November 1 and I'm going to be 35 which has me down partly because I am now at the age where my ovaries start their decline (actually they already have declined)
