Connections Abound

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • This is the 150th Lost & Found.
  • U.T.E.R.U.S. update: things are still trucking and new items are being added. We opened an US eBay account too and will start using that one in conjunction with the UK on for future auctions. We'll know some time next week where we stand financially but where things stand now, we've made over $582 if all auctions closed today. And they aren't closing today. The first start closing around the end of the week. So...that's pretty damn cool.
  • Good Cause: For the St. Louis area: Invite all of your friends and family to dine at Chevy’s (the St. Louis Mills or St. Charles locations) on Monday April 14th any time between 4-9pm and up to 20% of your bill will go to support Share Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support! Click here to view and print the flyer you’ll need to bring to make sure the money goes to Share! The mission of Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support, Inc. is to serve those whose lives are touched by the tragic death of a baby through early pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or in the first few months of life (from No Minivan).
  • Join Us: If you'll be in D.C. this weekend, come join The Order of the Plastic Uterus.
  • Question: KCMarie122 has a few questions about adoption agencies. Please click over to her blog and answer them if you can.
  • Connection: Taking Chances is looking to connect with other bloggers who have a blocked tube.
Old
  • Team On the Road continues to truck along. I cannot thank enough those who have donated or posted the code for Team On the Road. We've currently raised $1286! If you would like to help with our March of Dimes fundraising, read this post and join along. There are at least five things you could do!
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!
NEW BLOGS (started in March or April 2008)
BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES (celebrate your birthday or blogoversary with the community. Send me date at any point and I'll post them on the correct day)
  • A View on My Life turned 34 last week. It's not too late to go over and sing her a little belated song.
  • Some Day...Sweetpea had her birthday on Sunday. Go over and wish her happy birthday.
  • Candy from Candy's Land also celebrated her birthday yesterday. Go over and sing her a little song.
LOSS REMEMBRANCES (send in the dates of loss anniversaries and I will post them on the correct day)
  • Yesterday was Queenie's unfulfilled due date. Please go over and give her a hug.
  • Cole and Lina would have been six months old last Friday. Please go over and give The Cezzar Joint a hug.
LOSS ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • Darla's friend, Steve, died last week. Please go over and give her a hug.
  • Klove is experiencing a loss right now. Please go over and support Klove and Chicory.
MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • Max is starting chemo tomorrow. Please go over and wish Vee and Max good thoughts.
  • 10 eggs were retrieved and 5 fertilized for Sarah at Sarah Solitaire. They are not actually doing the transfer right now. She writes: "They will biopsy any that are over 5 cells on day 3 (Monday), and freeze any that make it to a blastocyst on day 5 or 6. Then they will do CGH testing on those that made it to freeze. And I will only transfer any that are chromosomally normal. There's a big chance of having none to transfer, but the RE is hopeful that I'll have one or two normal ones." Transfer will hopefully happen in June. So go over and give her many good thoughts.
  • Aurelia's friend's son (who is also friends with Kaz) is in the hospital and good use your good wishes.
  • Shelby's aunt received bad medical news last week. Please go over and give Shelby support.
  • Kate from Bee in the Bonnet is in the hospital after a gall bladder attack and having surgery. Please go over all week and keep her company while she recovers.
  • Our Family Beginnings could use a hug, her beta is Wednesday but her pee sticks have been negative.
  • Soapchick will trigger tonight and has her retrieval on Wednesday! Go wish her luck.
  • The Secret Garden lost her beloved puppy and feels like a member of her family is now gone. Please go over and give her a hug.
  • Tales of an Infertile Woman is having her retrieval today.
  • Thoughts From My Life underwent a colposcopy (cervical biopsy) and should have the results in 10--14 days.
  • Which Way to Baby is still in limbo, though things are progressively getting better with each ultrasound. There is another one on Wednesday. Please go over and wish her good luck.
  • Growing Family has arrived in Sydney for her big move and is settling in.
  • I Think I Hear Your Mother Calling is accompanying her husband to the urologist and she's nervous. Go over and give her support.
BEDREST BABES: on bedrest following infertility or loss and needing support. Drop in on them and keep them company.
  • Two weeks of strict bedrest for Babylust. Go over and keep her company.
  • Life As a Sandwich is on bedrest this week due to placental abruption (though she is now home from the hospital). Go over and keep her company.
  • Mean Mama (originally BlogPicchiPacchi) is on bedrest at 28 weeks. Go over and keep her company.
  • Schatzi is on "increased rest" and will most likely be on bedrest for a large portion of her pregnancy.
  • All Roads Lead to Family is on modified bedrest.
  • Or, Life is a Bed of Roses is on bedrest for a week due to a torn placenta.

Thanks so much, Mel. It means a lot that you thought of me today. I actually cried when I saw that I was in your Lost and Found today. Once again, you rock.

thank you so much for thinking of me. I haven't updated my blog yet today, but they got 13 eggs. I'm waiting for my fert. report tomorrow to update.

Thanks Mel, as always!

MeanMama has made it to 29 weeks and has found out it's a boy, but continues to lose fluid so may be moved to L&D to continue bedrest.

Thanks for the shout out! We're so happy to finally have our little one! She is a petite thing -- 8 months and only 13 pounds, but she's strong!

Overjoyed in Hanoi,
Erin

Thanks for passing the Chevy's fundraiser along, Mel!

P.S. You'll be able to add me to the birth announcement section in 2 weeks! :-)
