Tuesday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The Face-to-Face Lost and Found page is permanently located beneath this current post. Old Connections Abound can be accessed via the date or subject archives listed on the sidebar. Check the submissions page, FAQ, and ways to get involved for additional information. Email me at thetowncriers@gmail.com with any questions/concerns.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • IComLeavWe trucks along--3 more days of mindful commenting.
  • Bridges continues to post daily. And it continues to be an amazing resource for insight into a multitude of worlds. And I'm not just saying that because I work on it.
  • Cyclesista: Cyclesista (if you don't know it, you should. You should seriously seriously know this site and use it because it absolutely rocks) is looking for a couple of people to take over and help Bea with the admin of the site. Interested people can email journeytothecentre@hotmail.com with a couple of sentences introducing themselves and what they might be able to contribute to the site as an admin.
  • Project: Lori from Weebles Wobblog has launched Perfect Moment Mondays. You'll need to click over to read the details to participate. But I love this idea of holding onto those single moments each week. It feels like this way to create an online scrapbook within your blog.
  • Giveaway: Those crazy ladies at All Thumbs are giving away another book; this one is Fully Fertile. And it has yoga poses--how can you go wrong with yoga?
Old
  • I have 35 posts currently for the first 100 Words project. Please click over to read and participate. The entries thus far have been incredible. My goal is to have a minimum of 48 so I can run a post every half hour. They are some of the most moving pieces of writing I've read all month.
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!
NEW BLOGS (started in July or August 2008)
BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES (celebrate your birthday or blogoversary with the community. Send me date at any point and I'll post them on the correct day)
  • Mel is celebrating her birthday on Wednesday. Go over there and sing her a little song.
  • I Dream of Baby celebrated her birthday yesterday. You can still go over for cake.
LOSS REMEMBRANCES (send in the dates of loss anniversaries and I will post them on the correct day)
  • None Today.
LOSS ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • None Today.
MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • DCat is preparing to start her dIVF cycle. Wish her luck!
  • A big job for a fantastic lady--Serenity got a new job that absolutely rocks. Go tell her congratulations.
  • After a recent m/c and much agonizing, Infertile Ground is committed to trying one final IVF with her *just*-turned-43 eggs. (That makes three IVFs in 2008.) Comments along the lines of "You are not stupid" are welcome.
  • Staci's gestational surrogate has been cleared for ET on Tuesday. She could use some best wishes.
  • Shelby's cat, Zoey, had to be put to sleep. Please go over and give her support.
  • Doctors discovered an intraventricular hemorrhage in The Way I See It's newborn son's brain. Because the bleed is a stage 2 bleed, they are not expecting any longterm consequences, but they could use their support while they wait and see.
  • Teri is having a hard time and could use a hug.
  • Mil and Moosk is nervous about her appointment next week. Offer her some encouragement.
  • Rho is having a rough week and could use a hug.
  • Tammy needs some love. Please go over and give her a hug.
  • Sharon found an interesting article on the research of childless couples. Check it out and offer your thoughts.
BEDREST BABES: on bedrest following infertility or loss and needing support. Drop in on them and keep them company.
  • Ten Times Crazier is in the hospital on bedrest for contractions and her cervix is dilating. She will be in the hospital until 34 weeks or until the twins come.
  • BabyQuest is in the hospital on bedrest (more likely until she delivers Bub). Brenda thinks she is 24 weeks now and will be starting steroids soon. They are waiting for a bed to open up at a hospital with a better NICU and then she will be moved. But she is in the hospital for the duration.
  • Gas Passer is on bedrest for the rest of her pregnancy.
  • JJ is on bed rest until further notice.
  • Wonder Twin Power, Activate! is back on bedrest for the duration of the pregnancy.
  • Rebecca at My F*cked up Uterus is on modified bedrest and due in less than a month.
  • A Uterus Divided is on hospital bedrest.
PREGNANCY ANNOUNCEMENTS AND NEWS
BIRTH AND ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • Wishing, Hoping and Praying delivered Carson by planned c-section last Monday. A few hours later, he was moved to the NICU due to breathing difficulties, then transferred to the local children's hospital. They are still awaiting a firm diagnosis. Keep them in your thoughts as they wait.
