Tuesday's Connections Abound

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point to Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • Still playing with Kirtsy: how about voting for this one by the Angry Infertile? I swear I'm not trying to take over Kirtsy, but we're 7.4 million people in America alone (which is 12.5% of the child-bearing age population). I'd like to get some of our stuff out there. And I like Kirtsy. It's my new time-user.
Old
  • Kirtsy: I'm playing with Kirtsy. Will you vote for the Survival Guide?
  • Fundraiser: Nunn the Wiser has a great project going this season. She writes: "I am doing a holiday project this year to come up with nice presents, including preemie clothes, for the parents at my local hospital (where Henry was born) who have preemies in the NICU or SBCU over the holidays. Here are the details of the project:
http://flyingnunns.blogspot.com/2008/10/preemie-presents.html." If you're looking for something to occupy you this season, it's a great project.
  • New Online Magazine: "Exhale is a unique new literary magazine written for & by ordinary people who have faced extraordinary obstacles to getting/staying knocked up, or who have experienced stillbirth or infant death. We are currently accepting submissions for our very first issue, scheduled to be published right around New Years Eve, 2008. Please see our submission guidelines for details and requirements. The priority deadline for submissions for our first issue is December 15th, 2008.
  • The new IComLeavWe list opened and there is a way to do it even with Thanksgiving. Come join along and increase the comments on your blog.
  • Harriet the Spy is the current book club selection and everyone is invited to join along.
  • Bridges continues to post daily. And it continues to be an amazing resource for insight into a multitude of worlds. And I'm not just saying that because I work on it.
  • If you notice another loading slow down or receive error messages for Stirrup Queens or Lost and Found, please let me know. Now I'm nervous every time I add anything to the side bar!

Hi, I'm new to the blogger world - well, not quite true, I've been a reader for several months, but just started my own blog yesterday. Today was my first post. I'd like to let readers know about it. How do I do so? I'm not sure what category the blog would be in - probably "in the beginning" but I'll let you be the judge.
