581st Issue of the LFCA

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point of Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the
infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

  • Creme de la Creme: for the love, it's finally done. Sorry about the delay, but the final blurbs have gone up on the Creme de la Creme (anything that came in before the deadline of March 1st). Please go over and cheer on the rest of the list. The final count was 288 posts for 2009. Let's see if we can break 300 before the list goes up in January next year. Er...though the 2010 list won't open until November.
  • Game: Can you identify the photoshopped bloggers? Hint: one of them is me and all but one has their picture up on their blog regularly.

MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • Vee from The Sweet Life could use your thoughts/prayers/good wishes just now as Max has taken a turn for the worse. The blog is password protected, so readers of her blog can leave her messages there, though all others can leave comments right here on this LFCA post and I will make sure she gets them.
  • MommyInWaiting and HopelesslyTTC just found out that after nine months of treatment for his azoospermia caused by Secondary Hypogonadism, and over 130 injections, Hopelessly has sperm for the first time in his life. Join them for a celebration!
  • Gurlee is gearing up for a robotic myomectomy to remove a fibroid on Wednesday. She is very nervous and trying not to crap in her pants. Go and wish her luck for a successful surgery and speedy recovery.
  • Paige had her cycle canceled due to donor not responding well.
BEDREST BABES: on bedrest following infertility or loss and needing support. Drop in on them and keep them company.
  • Sonja and her quads have made it to 26 weeks! She is still on bedrest. Go keep her company as she waits the safe arrival her her babies.
  • Potty Mouth Mommy made it to the 28 week milestone! Still having contractions but holding strong while on bed rest with no cervical changes!
  • Little Footprints is 25 weeks and continues to be on full bedrest after having her cerclage placed. She is doing well but still has a long way to go and could use support.
  • Adventures of Student RN Tiffany is on bedrest. After multiple losses, she is hoping that "baby Bean" will be able to survive the IC and irritable uterus and preterm labor to be able to walk the Earth in a way his siblings never could.

A quick update... Vee's darling husband and Doudou's loving father, Max, has passed. Love and thoughts are with Vee and their family as they get through this difficult time. Rest in peace Max. We love you.
