589th Issue of the LFCA

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point of Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the
infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

Connections Abound

  • IComLeavWe: the June IComLeavWe list is now open for sign-up.
  • Connection: Stephanie writes: "Hello all! I'm looking for some advice from any plus size mommas or trying to be mommas out there. I had my first RE appointment this week and was told by the doc. that he wouldn't treat me until I lost 50+ pounds and/or got LapBand surgery. My hubby and I, know we need to lose weight, but don't want to wait 6 months+ to even begin bloodwork, ultrasounds and the dreaded HSG. (We've done 3 rounds of Clomid unsuccessfully already) Would love some words of wisdom from any ladies who have been through this predicament before!"
  • Article: Pamela Jeanne writes, "The Globe and Mail writes about couples who find a path to peace with infertility and shares some science and cultural insights. Comments welcome."
  • First Time Reading the LFCA: If this is your first time reading the LFCA or you need a refresher about how the LFCA works, please read this post. It has everything you need to know about getting your news in the LFCA.

BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES (celebrate your birthday or blogoversary with the community. Send me date at any point and I'll post them on the correct day)
  • Liddy turned 30 last Friday and celebrated her second blogoversary on May 29th. Go wish her well with both milestones.
  • Billy turned 40! Go wish her happy birthday.
  • And Baby B Makes Three! celebrated her fourth blogoversary. Go wish her congratulations.
  • Life WIth Coco and Gigi (previously Expecting A Baby Someday) is celebrating her 11th anniversary this weekend!
LOSS REMEMBRANCES (send in the dates of loss anniversaries and I will post them on the correct day)
  • Jess's son, Joel, was born still on 5/28/09, so Friday marked the one year anniversary of his birth. Please give her support.
  • Gwinne is remembering the baby she lost early last June, while anticipating IUI #13 at the end of the week. She could use some kind words; please stop by to wish her well.
  • Please give Gemini Girl a lot of love during this current loss.
  • Courtney lost her son, Wyatt, this weekend due to an incompetent cervix. Wyatt joined his twin brothers, Logan and Brody, in Heaven due to HELLP syndrome. Please go send some love.
MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • A negative for An Unwanted Path. Please go give her support.
  • Elizabeth Elizabeth just got the results of her husband's first SA, and they're not good. She's a bit in shock, and could use some words of encouragement.
  • Becoming a Family of Four found some cysts in her breasts, which was a very scary experience.
  • The Privileged Infertile is hopeful and anxious nearing the end of her 2ww following her 4th iui. She would appreciate prayers for comfort whatever the results end up being.
  • Joe and Sha Blog's son, Ray, just began a fight against cancer. Please take a minute to go leave him and his family a word of support.
  • My World, My Ramblings had a negative beta on Friday 28th. She had been through a canceled IVF last year, and this year she went to CCRM hoping for the best, but it was not meant to be. The heartbreak is obviously immense.
  • Azoowho learned this week that their 5th and final IUI failed and are planning to take some time off before attempting IVF.
BEDREST BABES: on bedrest following infertility or loss and needing support. Drop in on them and keep them company.
  • Potty Mouth Mommy made it to the 28 week milestone! Still having contractions but holding strong while on bed rest with no cervical changes!
  • Little Footprints has made it to 30 weeks! Her cerclage is still holding tight, but she remains on bedrest. Stop by and keep her company while she waits for the safe arrival of Baby A.!
  • Adventures of Student RN Tiffany is on week 3 of bedrest and after getting the McDonald cerclage placed her cervix is now 2.2cm (up from 0.6cm!). Baby Nolan is doing great and just hoping to make it to viability!
  • Project Progeny is on bedrest, but doing better. Please go keep her company.
  • Infertility on the Brain is resting at home until the twins come.
  • Ann is pregnant with triplets with 65 days left, and she was just diagnosed with pre-eclampsia. She is very scared and uncomfortable.
  • After enduring a questionable first beta, Golden Egg got fantastic results on her second and third tests. But after such a long journey she's having a hard time believing this might finally be "it". Please go give her support, and help her pass the time until her first u/s.
  • And Baby Makes Three has doubling betas.
  • Barb is finally pregnant again after the loss of George 19 months ago. Please give her good thoughts for the long road ahead.
  • Rebecca found out she's having a girl!
  • Astral, in her first trimester with twins, had some very scary cramping and intense pain. It looks like it was ovarian cysts. Go on over and give her a hug.
  • Leslie got her BFP after 2 pregnancy losses in the past.
  • Rebecca's surrogate is 9w now and everything is going great after a previous loss of the first baby!
  • Bailey had another great ultrasound.
  • Jen from Within Reach welcomed little Liam in the wee hours of Thursday morning. Go wish her congratulations.
  • Julie had her son on May 21st! Go wish her congratulations.
