YAY! Happy Birthaversary? I am grateful that you do this...it keeps me in the "loop"--or something--but I really do value it a lot.
This is for Julie at One More Time - damn Blogger won't let me post:
I just posted, but I don't know if it went through.
We did the testing and pretty much knew that we would all along. Unfortunately - and I'm not trying to scare you - the limits of the test were made very clear to us. The baby tested at having a 1:20 chance of Down's. I was 33 at the time, no known history in the family. We were totally shocked. Ended up having an amnio to confirm that things were fine (which they were - baby is now 5 months old and thriving).
The tests can be helpful, but can also wreak a certain amount of havoc. Best of luck regardless of what you decide!
