691st Issue of the LFCA

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point of Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the
infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

Connections Abound

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • Media Opportunity: Only for people in the Boston or NY area -- a director contacted me about a single 30 minute TV program with four segments. Each segment highlights different ways technology is changing how we live and communicate. He is looking to speak/film someone who has used the Internet to connect with others during treatments/adoption. Email me directly if you're interested in having him contact you. That's pretty much all the information I have on it, but he could obviously tell you more.
  • Blog Move: A Little Blog About the Big Infertility is now at this new address (just click).
  • Blog Move: EC has moved from Blogger to Wordpress.
  • Connection: Finding My New Normal writes, "I'm getting ready to head down the path of egg donation and would love to connect with others that have done this."
  • Project: There once was a girl with no children / Who lamented her difficulty to build 'em... Monday night is the deadline to enter the Limerick Chick Contest. The final round of voting begins shortly, so make sure to get your entry in!
  • Project: Stork Stalking wants to set up a system where people can share reviews of the good and bad REs/OBs/Perinatologists they have had (full name and hospital/clinic affiliation mentioned) with the end result being that such a page would be the first that showed up on a google search. She is requesting help (and stories from the community) in setting up such a comprehensive resource.
  • Book Club: Silent Sorority by Pamela Tsigdinos is the March book selection at the Ladies in Waiting Book Club. The author will be participating and hosting discussions throughout the month. The Editor's pick (2nd book for accelerated readers) is 'Succulent Wild Woman' by SARK. Join us for friendship, discussion, and good books!
  • Fundraiser: A Girl, Her Needles, and Some Yarn is making baby gifts in order to fund her treatments. Stop by if you're looking for a gift.
  • Daily Creme Update: There are currently 291 participants on the Creme de la Creme list (and 370 total currently in the queue to get on the list). The list is now closed. Make sure to check back often as new posts will go up daily.
