695th Issue of the LFCA

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point of Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the
infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • Media: I was contacted by a filmmaker who is looking for subjects for a documentary. She writes, "I am in the development phase of a documentary project on single midlife women seeking to become first-time mothers and ran across your site. I am looking for a diverse pool of single midlife women willing to share their stories of the heartache, trials, social stigma and joys faced in their journeys toward motherhood. These midlife subjects may come from any walk of life -- lesbian, cancer survivors, disabled or women who have endured alone the trauma of infertility -- but their central desire is to become a mother." If you are interested, you can contact Rhonda via email.

PREGNANCY ANNOUNCEMENTS AND NEWS
  • AFM asks, "I am currently 19 weeks pregnant after 3 losses. The main thing that is concerning me is that my hair is falling out. I thought it was meant to grow lush and thick during pregnancy. I have asked my midwife who shrugged me off. I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else and whether I need to be as worried as I am, or if it is just unnecessary anxiety. Any thought greatly appreciated."
  • Birdie got a BFP! Show her some love.
  • It's a BFP for Roccie! Stop by and wish her a huge congratulations on her great first beta!
  • It's a BFP and a series of great betas for One Day! Stop by and celebrate with her!
  • The good news is there's a heartbeat for Alex! The not so good news is that there is also subchorionic hematoma right along the gestational sac. Stop by and wish her well.
