702nd Issue of the LFCA

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point of Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the
infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

The workshop is for women who have had difficulty conceiving, who have attempted IUI, IVF or DE or for any woman how has experienced a pregnancy loss. Four practitioners will present ways in which to relieve stress, offer nutritional, health and wellness tips, info on acupuncture and reproductive health, as well as fertility yoga and mind/body meditation. This is the essential reference book for couples diagnosed with infertility. It covers everything from understanding your reproductive cycle to what your options are if a biological child is not possible. The causes of infertility — both male and female — are examined, treatment options are explained, and a wide range of support services are included.
  • Advice: Kathy at Four of a Kind's sister and brother-in-law are preparing to celebrate the first anniversary of their daughter's Homecoming Day next week! They are looking for ideas and suggestions (from fellow adoptive parents, family members, friends of and/or adoptees) in regards to developing annual traditions for this special day. They are also looking for recommendations for age appropriate board books about adoption to read with their toddler. Please share your thoughts and recommendations in the comment section of this post. Thank you!
  • Project: Sunnydaytodaymama is hosting Sharing Hope, a weekly link collection to share images and words of hope with IF friends and anyone who has some hope to share or is needing hope. MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • Lynn is going to need a lot of support over the coming months as she endeavours to lose 30 lbs. Her RE has stated that they can start talking treatment options once she has lost this weight. After 7 1/2 years TTC without any luck, she and The Hubs are eager to start the next leg of the journey!
  • After having an uterine septum resection on 4/28, Bring on the Babies... is going back on 5/24 (Tuesday) to see if it is fully gone. If it is, she will continue BCP and anticipate starting IVF the middle of June. If it is not gone, she will need more surgery and will have another 2 month wait. Prayers needed!
  • Being Barren is feeling very alone right now and could use some extra love.
  • Surly Mama is having quite the TWW! First her car was stolen and then she got into a minor car accident while borrowing a friend's truck. She could use any spare positive energy you have as she waits to find out if her latest IUI was successful.
BEDREST BABES: on bedrest following infertility or loss and needing support. Drop in on them and keep them company. Blurbs running underneath the "new" line are from this week, and the ones above that line will disappear on Sunday. Please do not re-list bedrest blurbs.
  • Hillary would appreciate thoughts, prayers, and especially any advice for bedrest following a cerclage. She is concerned and confused as this is her first time for both.
  • New Bedrest Babes:
  • My (hopeful) Journey to Motherhood is 32 weeks along and her doctor has put her on bedrest for the remainder of her pregnancy. This single mama to be could use some company so stop on over and show her some support.

I'm off to visit Lynn's blog - because, oh my, no doctor should without treatment over 30 pounds.
