707th Issue of the LFCA

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point of Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the
infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

  • Cyclesista: It's that time again! The latest cyclesista post is up. Visit to support bloggers who are actively cycling this month, or to add your own blog to the list.
  • Book: Lisa J. Manterfield has put out her own book I'm Taking My Eggs and Going Home: How One Woman Dared to Say No to Motherhood, and I was lucky enough to have her send me a copy. It is a not a neat story, wrapped up with a ribbon. It is about the choices we make, the sacrifices we make, and the limits we set on family building.

MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • Almost There just learned that they will not be considered as potential adoptive parents to the boy they have been providing respite care for and are devastated.
  • The baby boy that Michele had intended to adopt was born healthy, but the birth mother changed her mind and has chosen to parent. Michele is heartbroken.
  • Baby On Mind just completed her IVF egg retrieval. Please stop by and support her as she waits for the results of the fertilization report, and anticipate her transfer.
  • Lissie is a week away from starting her first IVF and has been evacuated from her home due to a giant wildfire threatening her . She has been gone since Monday, June 27th and does not know when she will be able to go back. She could use a little extra support in this stressful time.
BEDREST BABES: on bedrest following infertility or loss and needing support. Drop in on them and keep them company. Blurbs running underneath the "new" line are from this week, and the ones above that line will disappear on Sunday. Please do not re-list bedrest blurbs.
