713th Issue of the LFCA

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point of Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the
infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

MISCELLANEOUS NEWS
New
  • Question: CG writes, "I need some help understanding my cancelled IUI cycle. I was given the go-ahead on Friday with 2 big follies and a few more trailing behind, but the IUI was cancelled on Sunday stating too many follies. Why did the RE's office not worry on Friday and did I do the right thing by cancelling the IUI."
  • Blog Recommendation: Roccie writes, "I am trying to support a woman as she evaluates donor eggs or stopping treatment. She has a son after multiple ART cycles with her own eggs. Now they must choose to move forward with DE or as a one child family. Can anyone please recommend a blog who chose to stop treatment?"
  • Study: Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas is conducting a study involving women who have become pregnant with their own eggs after being diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure (POF). Pregnancy after being diagnosed with POF is possible, and 5 to 10 percent of patients with POF will become pregnant without the use of donor eggs. This study is designed to look for potential similarities among women with POF who have become pregnant with their own eggs compared to those with POF who have not had a pregnancy since their diagnosis. The study does not involve any form of treatment for POF. We invite and encourage all who are eligible to participate in this survey-based research project. Please feel free to contact me at POFstudy@gmail.com for further details.
