563rd Issue of the LFCA

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point of Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the
infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

  • Lost Blogger: A reader asks: "Wondering what ever happened to K.T. She last posted on August 18, 2009 that she was 7 weeks pregnant with twins. Her twins have likely been born by now but there have been no further posts.
  • Activism: Daisy writes: "Calling all AZ IFers to take action!! New AZ legislation has passed the senate that severely restricts treatment of embryos and ability to donate eggs and are being voted on by the House March 31st. One of the bills plans on banning egg donation and the other severely restricts treatment of embryos. Both of these bills are short sighted and the legislatures proposing it do not understand its impact. Visit's Take Action page for the link to send in a letter of opposition, or visit Daisy's blog for the link."
  • Project: Distract yourself! Bringing back Photo Fridays. Each wednesday a new theme will be announced and Fri-Sun you showcase a photo within that theme on your blog. This week's theme: Your sink or your tub. Find the beauty in the mundane!

  • Television: Baby Bump Bound taped a segment on infertility that aired on the Today show. You can watch it by clicking here.

  • Question: K at Waiting For Sunflower is 35 weeks pregnant and wondering when your doctor stopped your daily aspirin regiment before delivery. She also was wondering if heparin increases any risks come delivery.
  • Daily Update: There are currently 292 participants on the Creme de la Creme 2009 list.

  • Msfitzita spent Thomas's birthday three weeks ago in the ER with her father, who has yet to be released from the hospital. Please go give her a big hug.

  • Go congratulate Baby, Borneo or Bust on her new job.

  • Are We There Yet's dear son Braden was diagnosed with ataxia telangiectasia, a rare, terminal neurodegenerative disease. Please go surround her in love.
  • Amy over at Drink That Sun has had a really bad time of things lately. After a wonderful confirmation of a twin pregnancy, she has been dealing with horrible unexplained abdominal pain, followed by having her sweet dog hit and killed by a car, and has now just spent the last two days in the hospital for ovarian torsion. She could really just use a friendly word right now.
