563rd Issue of the LFCA

Welcome to today's edition of Connections Abound. The point of Lost and Found is to level the support playing field. When LFCA works correctly, the newest blogger with the smallest readership can receive the same level of support as the oldest blogger with the largest readership. Anyone can submit news to LFCA by clicking here.

Lost and Found is open to anyone in the
infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy-and-parenting after infertility, assisted conception, living child-free after infertility or loss community (as well as anyone I inadvertently missed on that list). Please support the list as well as anyone posting announcements below.

  • Lost Blogger: A reader asks: "Wondering if anyone knows anything about Arpee and how she is doing. Her last post was on July 7, 2009, when she posted that her triplets had not survived, and there have been no posts since that one.
  • Lost Blogger: A reader asks: "Wondering what ever happened to K.T. She last posted on August 18, 2009 that she was 7 weeks pregnant with twins. Her twins have likely been born by now but there have been no further posts.
  • Activism: Daisy writes: "Calling all AZ IFers to take action!! New AZ legislation has passed the senate that severely restricts treatment of embryos and ability to donate eggs and are being voted on by the House March 31st. One of the bills plans on banning egg donation and the other severely restricts treatment of embryos. Both of these bills are short sighted and the legislatures proposing it do not understand its impact.   • Question: K at Waiting For Sunflower is 35 weeks pregnant and wondering when your doctor stopped your daily aspirin regiment before delivery. She also was wondering if heparin increases any risks come delivery.

  • Jen is currently going through her 2nd miscarriage right now. Please stop by and send her some love as she is waiting to naturally miscarry and needs some LFCA support.
  • Little Bits O'Cracker's mom passed away after a difficult battle with brain cancer. Please give her your support as she grieves.
  • The Happy Hours had a low first beta and the second beta dropped. She could use some love and support.
MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • Msfitzita spent Thomas's birthday three weeks ago in the ER with her father, who has yet to be released from the hospital. Please go give her a big hug.
  • Fearlessly Infertile received the results from her D&C. The baby was a healthy little girl and now she has more questions than answers, along with the guilt she feels of not having had more testing done prior to IVF. Go offer her some comfort and support.
  • Circus Princess's transfer was canceled and she feels lost and scared. She could use lots of support.
  • Go congratulate Baby, Borneo or Bust on her new job.
  • Aussie Girl is struggling with the question: "Is it possible to *know* you can't have children?" in a deep, almost spiritual sense, even without having tangible evidence. She could do with some (thoughtful and kind) guidance and support.
  • Amy cried hard when her dinner fell on the floor yesterday. Please laugh with her as hormone overload and 2ww stress mess with her head.
  • Una Loca Trying Again's transfer was Wednesday. Wish her luck!
  • Are We There Yet's dear son Braden was diagnosed with ataxia telangiectasia, a rare, terminal neurodegenerative disease. Please go surround her in love.
  • Amy over at Drink That Sun has had a really bad time of things lately. After a wonderful confirmation of a twin pregnancy, she has been dealing with horrible unexplained abdominal pain, followed by having her sweet dog hit and killed by a car, and has now just spent the last two days in the hospital for ovarian torsion. She could really just use a friendly word right now.
  • Baby on Mind is grieving the loss of her canceled IVF transfer. Please stop by to offer support.
  • Infertility Causes Drama got nine eggs at her retrieval.
BEDREST BABES: on bedrest following infertility or loss and needing support. Drop in on them and keep them company.
  • Sonja is 19 weeks with quads! Her cervix is not cooperating and she is having some congractions. She has been hospitalized. When she is released she will be on strict bedrest. The goal is for her to get to 27 weeks. She could use some support as she is pretty scared right now.
  • After losing her dear Will at 24.5 weeks, Eve is on continued bedrest until further notice with his twin, Abby. Eve is now back home from the hospital, although she is still on full bedrest.
  • Potty Mouth Mommy is on full bed rest at home because she is having contractions and has a history of incompetent cervix. Please give her some love.
PREGNANCY ANNOUNCEMENTS AND NEWS
  • Venting Vagina just got a much awaited BFP from a recent FET. Please congratulate her!
  • Carolyne and her husband are having a little boy!
  • Wendy saw the heartbeat at her 7 week ultrasound (this is her fourth pregnancy but the first time a heartbeat has been seen)!
  • Our Own Creation is having a girl!
BIRTH AND ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • Good Egg Hunting gave birth last month to a boy. Go over and wish her congratulations.
  • Losing the Baby Wait's daughter, Finley, was born March 25, and the adoption paperwork was signed March 27. Please stop by and congratulate them!
  • Kami gave birth to LBII on March 26. While things didn't go exactly as planned, everyone is doing well. Head over to offer congratulations.
  • BB gave birth to a daughter and a son on March 26.
  • Knocked Up, Knocked Down gave birth to her son on March 26th! Go wish her congratulations.
  • Lindsay and Mr. Badger finalized V's adoption. Go over and wish them 1000 congratulations.
  • Adventures in Mommyland welcomed their new baby daughter Hannah through adoption! Go wish them congratulations.
  • Waterbishop had a baby boy, LB, a few weeks ago! Stop by to admire his photo & send congratulations.
  • Still Life With Circles is being induced and Thor is due to arrive today. More information when she posts, but stop by to wish her good luck while we wait for news.

Just a small correction: Are We There Yet's son's name is Braden.
