  • Media Opportunity: Only for people in the Boston or NY area -- a director contacted me about a single 30 minute TV program with four segments. Each segment highlights different ways technology is changing how we live and communicate. He is looking to speak/film someone who has used the Internet to connect with others during treatments/adoption. Email me directly if you're interested in having him contact you. That's pretty much all the information I have on it, but he could obviously tell you more.
  • Blog Move: A Little Blog About the Big Infertility is now at this new address (just click).
  • Blog Move: EC has moved from Blogger to Wordpress.
  • Connection: Finding My New Normal writes, "I'm getting ready to head down the path of egg donation and would love to connect with others that have done this."
  • Project: There once was a girl with no children / Who lamented her difficulty to build 'em... Monday night is the deadline to enter the Limerick Chick Contest. The final round of voting begins shortly, so make sure to get your entry in!
  • Project: Stork Stalking wants to set up a system where people can share reviews of the good and bad REs/OBs/Perinatologists they have had (full name and hospital/clinic affiliation mentioned) with the end result being that such a page would be the first that showed up on a google search. She is requesting help (and stories from the community) in setting up such a comprehensive resource.
  • Book Club: Silent Sorority by Pamela Tsigdinos is the March book selection at the Ladies in Waiting Book Club. The author will be participating and hosting discussions throughout the month. The Editor's pick (2nd book for accelerated readers) is 'Succulent Wild Woman' by SARK. Join us for friendship, discussion, and good books!
  • Fundraiser: A Girl, Her Needles, and Some Yarn is making baby gifts in order to fund her treatments. Stop by if you're looking for a gift.

  • Flmgodog found out two seconds after the anatomy scan started that the e baby had died (19w4d) some time in the previous week. This is pregnancy number 8, loss seven. Tired and worn out this could be the end of the line.
  • Baby Steps' Grandmother passed away this week. Please go and give her a hug.
  • I'm Just Ducky, Thanks is hurting right now. She had to put her cat Merlin to sleep on Wednesday evening, had gotten 3 positive HPTs this week through Thursday and then lost it all Thursday night.

  • Les has been selected to adopt a sweet little boy from Foster Care. She is over the moon with excitement and cherishing every moment. Please delight in this long await dream come true with her.
  • A Fertile Mind has cleared Hurdle no. 1 and received approval for her sister to be her egg donor. She is having mixed feelings about this and could use some support.

  • And So It Goes got a BFP with IVF/ICSI#1 but is nervous having had two prior miscarriages.
  • Maren at Becoming a Family of Four is 30 weeks along and recently received devastating news about her "much-anticipated and fought for pregnancy." Her second daughter will be born with a congenital heart defect, Pulmonary Atresia with Intact Ventricular Septum (PA-IVS), and faces a rocky road, with multiple surgeries and uncertain outcome. Please give her your support, especially if you have any experience with this condition and can offer information and positive personal stories.

  • One year and one month after the loss of her twins boys, Jeanna welcomed Owen into the world! Please celebrated with her!
  • Arlyne welcomed Ariana on 2/18. Please go and wish her congratulations.

  • Book Tour: Kathy from Four of a Kind is hosting a book tour for A Gift of Time: Continuing Your Pregnancy When Your Baby's Life is Expected to Be Brief by Amy Kuebelbeck and Dr. Deborah L. Davis. A Gift of Time was recently published (January 2011) and was written by the authors of two successful and widely read books for parents who have lost children: Waiting for Gabriel: A Story of Cherishing a Baby’s Brief Life and Empty Cradle, Broken Heart: Surviving the Death of Your Baby.   • Book Club: The Ladies in Waiting Book Club was founded by an IF veteran (still waiting for her miracle) through Resolve's online support group, Inspire. Book club membership is open to anyone who has struggled or is struggling with infertility. The mission of the LiWBC is to provide support, discussion, awesome reads, and friendship in a safe environment to all of its members.

  • Book Tour: Lori says, "Last chance to sign up for the Life From Scratch book tour!"
  • Fundraiser: Pam's BIL has been battling Rhabdomyolysis for the last 7 years and has run out of options in his home province. The Ontario medical system has determined they are unable to cure the effects of this disease and are unable to identify next steps in his treatment. His next step is to go to the Mayo Clinic where they are willing to explore alternative treatments. Due to the high cost, the family is trying to raise money through donations.
  • Missing Blogger: A reader asks: "does anyone know it Melanie from fallinginhope is OK?? She hasn't posted since Thanksgiving. I commented a while back to ask if she was OK and it hasn't been approved. If you're out there I hope all is well." If you want to answer, you can leave a comment below.
  • Question: Foxy was just prescribed Parlodel to lower her prolactin levels prior to IVF next month. She is a little nervous about this pill after reading what Dr Google had to say about its side effects. She would appreciate hearing from anyone who has experience with this medication.

  • After 4 years, 4 miscarriages and the death of their son Gabriel as a result of pre-eclampsia, Mr. and Mrs. Spit have decided to live child free. Please give the support with this transition.
  • While she wasn't able to go to New York for her IVF study, Susan was offered two different jobs with better pay on February 4th. This means that she and her husband won't have to put TTC on hiatus after all!
  • Womb For Improvement has finally, and officially, started her first round of IVF. Wish her luck.
  • Life in the Detours has her egg retrieval scheduled for Tuesday (IVF#1).
  • In Due Time lost the final court hearing last week. She has to give A back next weekend. She could use some extra support during this emotional time.

  • Christina is currently experiencing a miscarriage after having her confirmed her 1st ever pregnancy on Thursday.
  • SFKD is experiencing her 4th pregnancy loss and feeling cynical about ever having a family and needing her 4th bedroom or large car. She could use some words of comfort and extra support right now.
MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORT AND CELEBRATIONS (scary scans, anxious waits, OHSS, and a host of other reasons why these bloggers could use some additional support right now. Also, celebratory retrievals, transfers, and other good news)
  • InDueTime could use support as the final hearing to determine custody of her niece, A, is determined Thursday. This is the hardest thing she has ever had to go through.
  • Reproductive Jeans needs loads of hugs. Oman was admitted to the ER for RSV and a blood infection, and once they were discharged, she was back in the ER for Mook who has the flu. She's exhausted and needs our thoughts and well wishes!
  • Storm in My Teacup finally got the hubby aboard for the illusive male perspective post. It's short and sweet and perfectly timed--since they have their FET transfer on 2/3/11!

  • Just as she entered her third trimester, Genevieve started having contractions that landed her in the hospital. She and cricket are doing well, but she is now on modified bedrest. She could use a little extra love and support right now.

  • My Vegas is having a hard time dealing with her multiples pregnancy. After finding out that she is carrying triplets, weighing the medical risks, and hearing, as she writes, "good and bad" heartbeats, she needs to take a step back from the Internet, google and blogs until she feels safe. She could really use some kind, supportive words right now.
